- The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster was unveiled on December 1st, 2013 in Abu Dhabi in the presence of His Excellency Giorgio Starace, Italian Ambassador to the UAE and the Admiral of High Seas Forces, Paolo Treu.
Guests on board Nave Cavour enjoyed hospitality from chef Corrado Corti of Italy's famous Hotel Splendido in Portofino, who flew in especially for the occasion. Singer and actress Elena Bonelli opened the event with the Italian national anthem; fashion designer Giada Curti offered a tableau vivant of her creations with ten top models. One of the happy few to sit in the Veneno Roadster was former captain of the national Italian soccer team and 2006 world champion Fabio Cannavaro.

It's a supercar first and foremost. Lamborghini wanted the most out of aerodynamics, weight and design efficiency. There are always compromises being made with cars, otherwise everything would look like an F1 racer. This is pretty much the closest you can get to an F1 design while still retaining a normal car look.

i liked it at first, but the car is too weird and big. Gallardo is the best lamborghini ever made.
Seeing as they have made only 3 with a roof, and 9 with the roof off for a total production run of 12, and with them all sold it was a showy non event.

With all respect for Lamborghini and Italian Navy....but why an italian state's aircraft carrier (3.5 billion €) is used for a private event in Abu Dhabi to present a car for billionaire? Why that ship isn't used to help the people of Philippines or Pakistan or Somalia or another state in the world?

NOT to hate but I kinda DON'T like it. The car is too decked out. I prefer the cleaner look like the Lamborghini LP640 for example.
The car I really really really want to drive the most is the Pagani Zonda 760RS or the Pagani Zonda F. Pagani Zonda is a true EXOTIC car.
Overall, they're all great cars.

I have to admit its a real show stopper in blood red. Classy? - No. Outlandishingly Lamborghini? - YES! The funny thing is that only three Venenos were built and this may be the only Veneno Roadster in the world, yet they brought a whole friggin Italian warship all the way to the Gulf to display it on! Shows you what importance Lamborghini (and for that matter all the major European sporstcar manufacturers) put on their rich arab Gulf customers. After all, the rich oil sheiks of the Gulf have no problem in showcasing their wealth and money is no object for them. So its no wonder that the Veneno Roadster, the world's most expensive and rarest car, has obviously been sold to some rich oil sheik in the Gulf, and its no wonder that all the major European sportscar manufacturers see their core customer base as the rich Gulf Arabs.

In all honesty...I really think that any high performance automobile is a waste of money and time. Let's be honest with all the so called highly educated and world best engineers till this very day none has the knowledge to design a vehicle that can get 500 mpg to 1000 mpg. Exactly what excuses does any of this automative manufacture have to why they can't do it? Absolutely NONE!! Sure all the design are great but then, anyone who can afford it can't really enjoy it because many will end up dead. Think outside the box. It's a very expensive coffin on 4 wheel. Also, it's a given that anyone who drives it will think they are above the law. Meaning they will intentionally go fast and the average speed in the U.S.A. is anywhere from 65 mph to 85 mph. Me personally, for $3.4 Million dollars. I rather find away to prolong my life, not shortened it. Not to mentioned just to maintain this beast will cost anyone close to $350k a year or more. BTW...I shoot exotic automobiles all the time @ SEMA/AAPEX and I'm not at least impress and the crazy part about having an exotic car...it won't grow/extend a male penis at all.
