Everyone: talking about the new Pokemon game. Me: That translator guy who I've seen work with Nintendo for some years now has achieved the god level at translating.
Manga Samte Honestly, every single translator I’ve seen so far at this year’s E3 have been absolutely killing it at translating, especially during the Square Enix conference. Their minds are literally a perfected version of Google Translate.

I didn't like how in Go and Let's Go they took out the mechanic where you had to actually fight Pokèmon to catch them. It felt empty. Thank god it's back.
I think Lets Go is considered spin off! (^-^ ) I feel like main series Pokemon wouldn't ever let go of that battling system since its such a staple part of the series

Yes, they can. But pokémon is not about It. It's a turn based game, It requires diferent skills than something like Mortal Kombat. Other pokémon spin off games have already done that. I don't know what you're talking about.
Yup if they have any sense they'll cut move turn time down to 15seconds it doesn't take that long to figure out what you are going to do even for a kid.
I see what you saying. But none of them are showing have hold items. Plus the levels are close to starter Pokémon’s second stage which is around lvl 16
tony sosa we know from experience now that the way Pokémon makes their demos is by blocking off an area of the game to only make that playable. It’s safe to say at this stage they must be nearing the end of development and are just polishing the game

@@sebastianguerrero6617 In BotW, you could see things from far away, but in Pokemon, it's like you don't know what you will run into. Perhaps also by accident. I think this is going to be way more frustrating if you have to do it by luck. It would be more interesting to have sth like a telescope and be able to explore the area much better. Also with NPCs that simply appear out of the blue. From a technically and graphically perspective, the game looks ugly as hell, especialyl when it's developed by a company that owns one of the biggest franchises on earth. You should think they and Nintendo will do their best, but it's not true, the game will sell millions of copy, so why delaying it and make it more appealing. Gamefreak even had big problems making games for the 3DS. They made a good battle system but they aren't good at developing games so the game runs smooth.
It reminds me of what I thought Pokémon Go would be like when it was released. I thought you would look around by pointing your phone everywhere and see wild Pokemon right in the world.
@@syeo501 Well, I'm pretty sure Nintendo also thought about that, they probably won't spawn the Pokemon in front of you, it also seems to be a good distance away so that you will not encounter it on accident. Honestly, I like this feature, because in the other games you don't know what you'll get and it's just random, this time it's also random but you can actually choose the Pokemon you want to try and catch, it's a more realistic approach. It's also hard to develop high graphic games with the Nintendo 3ds, especially when you're storing A BUNCH of data in it and how the Pokemon you encounter has movesets, it's just complicated and even thought they could do better it's still better than nothing.

I also really like that even with the chance encounter its not automatic. It alerts you there's a random unseen pokemon and You can still choose to not walk to walk in that spot. I'm really excited for that
I love the fact that I'll actually be worried about wiping from fighting one Pokemon that out levels the rest of my team. I always wanted that in Pokemon, that risk of challenging a higher level Pokemon and possibly catching it for my team.
Also Pokemon logic: Gen IV - V: Oh, my pokemon is magically out of. poison :D *starts happening always* wtf? but on Gen VI - VIII: *Gets out of battle* *Checks pokemon* >poison 57/72 *walks forever* *checks again* >poison 57/72 the fuck?
I think it sucked, I think they should have been alternate evolutions based on their nature, weather, or the area where you catch/evolve them. That would have been far more interesting. but it still is way better than this dynamax shit.

It is a shame they are limiting the number of pokemon we can receive in this game. I know the development of pokemon including movements and interactions is a pain staking process but I would have rather waited longer for the game than to get them frequently. At somepoint the developers must have realised this would have been an issue and I hope either they provide updates enabling us to access more pokemon overtime or at least release non mainstream games which function with sword and shield. I hope we aren't missing too many pokemon.
You guys need to stop throwing a fit about this if you paid attention to the leaks you would realize that we might be getting something called giagantmaxing(Probably not spelled right don't care though) which is basically giant mega evolved pokemon who can use z-moves each turn so you need to grow up and if the only reason you played pokemon was for the mega evolutions you probably don't deserve this.
ِ yea, if your playing local there should be more communication. Using arcanine to bring sunlight then have some other fire types who can work with that is a nice example. Or having someone use belly drum then skill swap with the Pokémon that’s going to Dynamax
Finally, true to life sized pokés! On a side note, those machop running at the character was creepy AF. Edit: Sees Arcanine the size of a puppy, retracts statement...
That’s a dynamax steelix, so of course the Arcanine is gonna look smol. Compare it to the other players and Pokémon models though, it looks to be pretty sizeable. Nothing to worry about.

It's very obvious, Buneary because it's a bunny-like Pokémon....The 'scor' part of Scorbunny is similar to the 'tor' part of Torchic. Grookey = Chimchar + Turtwig, Sobble = Froakie + Mudkip. Torchic is a fire starter like Scorbunny and also their eyes look identical except for Torchic's eyes being blue/black and Scorbunny's eyes being red. It seems like Scorbunny's later evolutions will be fire/fighting like Torchic's later evolutions and Scorbunny's later evolutions will have thin legs for fighting just like Torchic's later evolutions but that's unpredictable at the moment...maybe Scorbunny's later evolutions will be pure fire. None of the starters for Galar are that original.

Also I think some of these move animations are place holders as moves such as Flame Charge has been improved after this demo build. Or they just look different because used against raid bosses.
PSA: Not every pokemon is going to be available in this game, not even via transfer through pokemon home. You will only have access to the pokemon available in the Galar-specific pokedex, just to "fit the theme" of the region. Sorry if your favorite ends up getting the cut; doesn't even make sense since the Switch is so much more powerful than the 3ds.

There’s over 800 Pokémon they’d have to spruce up models for, as well their animations in battles, and animations for the Pokémon refresh equivalent, not to mention shinies. Moving those to new system would likely be hard. In order to get the game out at a reasonable date, not all Pokémon can be transferred.
@@dreamcastdazia4753 Masuda said it at another point in the treehouse stream. It's not just before post game; a lot of pokemon will flat out not be in the game at all. They can't be caught. They can't be transferred.
Stop overreacting, Its gonna take a while because there is 800 pokemon but eventually all will be put into the game. Just not at release. That's why they always stall out pokemon bank on a new gen release.

You realize you and people giving them excuses for game freak are why we’re losing half the Pokémon in the game, and a 3ds game is more visually pleasing then launch titles. Isn’t good to look at, functions lost because no one knows, animations used from a 3DS game and the only time the game did look good Pokémon were popping in and out of existence.

I may be in the minority here but I'm not upset about a lack of a national dex in this game. I played my first Pokemon game when I was just a kid with a game boy color. I had no worries about min-maxing or getting my breeded Pokemon teams ready to transfer or anything. I hope this game allows me to calm down the competitive anxiousness and just enjoy Pokemon like I used to.
I honestly never cared about the competitive side or bothering with trades - it was never convenient enough to be worth it anyways. I'd have to catch a bunch of filler pokemon in the newer game, then trade them One. At. A. Time. with the pokemon from the older game. Not to mention I would either need to do that with all unevolved pokemon or trade in mons of each evolutionary stage in order to actually complete the pokedex in the newer game. And even if I was willing to do all that, they further ruin the Gotta Catch Em All idea by having event only mons, which at least outside of Japan have very permanent expiration dates, didn't get well advertised in the first place, and were in only very specific locations (until the use of normal internet Wi-Fi for some of them anyways). Also a lot of pokemon are redundant and were just kind of shoved in over the years, or they're statistically worthless even if they're nice design/thematic/type wise. So I'm not too fussed about it at all.
Anyone noticed that they finally did it? About the wather during battle it now just shows '' its raining/hailing'' while you continue instead of showing the sky and pause every turn

It is a shame they are limiting the number of pokemon we can receive in this game. I know the development of pokemon including movements and interactions is a pain staking process but I would have rather waited longer for the game than to get them frequently. At somepoint the developers must have realised this would have been an issue and I hope either they provide updates enabling us to access more pokemon overtime or at least release non mainstream games which function with sword and shield. I hope we aren't missing too many pokemon.
We're missing HALF the dex. I am not paying full price for a cut game.

It's very obvious, Buneary because it's a bunny-like Pokémon....The 'scor' part of Scorbunny is similar to the 'tor' part of Torchic. Grookey = Chimchar + Turtwig, Sobble = Froakie + Mudkip. Torchic is a fire starter like Scorbunny and also their eyes look identical except for Torchic's eyes being blue/black and Scorbunny's eyes being red. It seems like Scorbunny's later evolutions will be fire/fighting like Torchic's later evolutions and Scorbunny's later evolutions will have thin legs for fighting just like Torchic's later evolutions but that's unpredictable at the moment...maybe Scorbunny's later evolutions will be pure fire. None of the starters for Galar are that original.

PSA: Not every pokemon is going to be available in this game, not even via transfer through pokemon home. You will only have access to the pokemon available in the Galar-specific pokedex, just to "fit the theme" of the region. Sorry if your favorite ends up getting the cut; doesn't even make sense since the Switch is so much more powerful than the 3ds.

There’s over 800 Pokémon they’d have to spruce up models for, as well their animations in battles, and animations for the Pokémon refresh equivalent, not to mention shinies. Moving those to new system would likely be hard. In order to get the game out at a reasonable date, not all Pokémon can be transferred.

I may be in the minority here but I'm not upset about a lack of a national dex in this game. I played my first Pokemon game when I was just a kid with a game boy color. I had no worries about min-maxing or getting my breeded Pokemon teams ready to transfer or anything. I hope this game allows me to calm down the competitive anxiousness and just enjoy Pokemon like I used to.
I honestly never cared about the competitive side or bothering with trades - it was never convenient enough to be worth it anyways. I'd have to catch a bunch of filler pokemon in the newer game, then trade them One. At. A. Time. with the pokemon from the older game. Not to mention I would either need to do that with all unevolved pokemon or trade in mons of each evolutionary stage in order to actually complete the pokedex in the newer game. And even if I was willing to do all that, they further ruin the Gotta Catch Em All idea by having event only mons, which at least outside of Japan have very permanent expiration dates, didn't get well advertised in the first place, and were in only very specific locations (until the use of normal internet Wi-Fi for some of them anyways).
Also a lot of pokemon are redundant and were just kind of shoved in over the years, or they're statistically worthless even if they're nice design/thematic/type wise. So I'm not too fussed about it at all.
