Every time I see videos like this, the more I feel like this old school style would work for the show… That or I’m just saying it due to how I like old school anime animation style.
Thats still possible and even can be done digitally with tools we have. However it is very time consuming and expensive and the industry at this point doesnt respect the time it takes to make something like that.
Digital Circus is quite literally drawing on the same era of computing crossed with a Wonderland/storybook aesthetic that Digimon was going for. The respective properties have different takes on it, but the raw themes are incredibly uncanny- a digital isekai of different artificial facsimiles of adventure spaces of scaling realism, where even mortality and identity itself is a mutable idea. I strongly suggest sitting down and playing Digimon World, too, as you're really missing out if you like this kinda thing but haven't experienced it yet. And if you have to resort to a guide, try for the low spoiler ones, because its really worth the spirit of discovery
Once the amazing digital circus is finished a bit series This needs to become a thing... IF it's possible for glitch productions to have something like this actually work and if it's okay on their part.
