Hi! I'm from India and I resonate with you so much and I feel so validated after coming across your instagram and now, youtube. I've always had my mind on various things ever since I graduated from college and its never been like " oh i wanna be a doctor or something", I always tell people that I wanna pursue multiple things like modelling, yoga teaching, mandala drawing, playing the ukulele. I also work in corporate to support myself and my family, but it never felt fulfilling. Whenever I told anyone about my various interests, they always told me that its not possible to be everything and that you should choose one thing and stick to it. It kept me glued to my corporate job, leaving me tired that I was unable to do anything of my interests. After coming across your profile I feel like I'm not alone and that what I have in mind is achievable. Ive started working on it and am hoping to achieve or rather pursue all of my passions. Thanks to your motivation! Love💖💖💖💖

Hey girl, same. I am from India too just recently passed my 12th and this question is eating me alive because I wanna support my family but for that corporate seems a sader option. But at the same time I wanna be a writer, a content creator for books, model, start a podcast, or maybe start a small business to feed into my creative side. Actually grateful to know there are more people like me ❤️

      Hi beautiful!
First of all, thank you for your sharing. I resonate with you so much… I sometimes wonder how it’s even possible that we are all living the same experiences as multi-passionate beings! It’s always the “stick to something” or “you can’t choose many things” that we grow up hearing. And looking back, I wasted so many opportunities and potential because I believed them. I truly believed pursuing many passions and interests was somehow wrong. I wonder how much talent is wasted because of this “one thing only” mindset..
I hope you know how wonderful you are and how necessary it is for you to follow your passions, no matter how many those are.
To be a multipotentialite is truly a gift and a blessing. May we always look at it that way.
Sending you a big virtual hug!

Hey everyone. I am Shivali and also from India 🇮🇳
I am 40+ Mom. In my childhood I wanted to be a singer but my parents want to see me as a doctor
At the age of 15 at the time of choosing my stream I choose Commerce because all my friends were taking commerce and I was not too interested in Science at that time. But now I realised that at that time I should choose Arts Because I love painting, Singing ....
Still at the age of 40 it's a confusion.
At the age 38 I started my TH-cam channel with cooking and Baking.
But I wanted to be a Daily vlogger so that I can use all my hobbies and show my viewers my painting skills, my singing, my cooking and baking skills and my Diy dress making skills.
      But it didn't happen..
Because of my husband I choose to run a faceless cooking channel but It was a flop show.
After sometime I reached on Instagram but this time I want to be a fashion blogger even knowing no makeup skills 😅.
      But I am still confused 🤔 😕
I want to sing, paint, dance, Makeup, style my self, Cooking is still here because I love cooking baking. And here is a new wish motivational speaker or Life couch.....
      Still confused......

I'm currently at a crossroad when choosing a graduate job that I'd have to remain in for 3 years. I personally chose to do finance and not psychology because I'm afraid of committing down one path. My thoughts when choosing finance was that I'd have one stable paying job, and spend my free time with all my other hobbies (e.g. volunteer as a counsellor). If I managed to make a hobby into a self-sustaining job after some years, that'd be nice too. Though I can't say I made the 'right' decision because I've only lived one life.

Exactly i also feel so much interested in coding and science and history and painting and reading writing etc etc.... And the thing is people consider these to be very opposite for some reason. Like my friends say you cant be both scientific and artistic which doesn't make sense

    • @melissagarzam
      @melissagarzam  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Actually, scientific and artistic was the norm back then! I suggest you read The Renaissance Soul, By Margaret Lobenstine. It talks about how back then, it was actually abnormal if you didn’t like scientific and artistic fields.
These two fields are sooo interconnected and fun fact, I have never met a Doctor that doesn’t like several things at once. For example, most of the doctors I’ve met have some sort of artistic hobby.
So yeah! Keep doing you, girl!
Sending you a big virtual hug!
