Thank you for this. James burton is by far my favorite guitar player . Not easy to find lessons for his music. .got to see him play live just once. Such a great talent
NICE LESSON ... played this one so many times back in the 60's ... used straight picking ... hard to get that sound unless you chicken-pick it ... had to fake it (lol) ... such a funky lick ... love it ... also the lick in "Fools Rush In" a classic ...
I just learned this solo from a Hal Leonard book "The Best of Rockabilly" by Dave Rubin. What a beast that was to learn! But I like your tabs better. I find the book adds too many double-stops and needlessly over-complicates it. Also, the bars over the A7 chord (your bars 10 & 11) are written in the second position, as in a regular open A chord. But you play that part up on the fifth fret. Much easier and smoother to play. Thanks!
Very nice. 5:55 - 5:59 - I've noticed that James plays that part at the 5th fret instead of from the 2nd position like you are doing here. Are your notes the same as James, just in a different position?
Good work Jonathan. Could you do a breakdown of JB's rhythm work on this recording? There appears to be a lot going on at the same time and sounds like maybe a little piano in the mix as well.
The tab would help but the website's not working now 😢 But he does play it slow the 2nd time and you can adjust the speed settings on youtube further to make it even slower. I learnt a solo that way before with no tab 😊

Of the many, many versions of this solo, this sounds the truest. Great work and very generous of you to post
Great tutorial! I've always loved this solo. Now I hope I can learn to play it!
Thanks for this! Nice strat tone!!!

Can you do Young World solo from Ricky Nelson
I love this video. Song , guitar, sound and you’re playing . Can you give me some details on the Strat you’re using.
Thanks Stephen. It’s an all stock (except the pick guard) 2004 American strat.
@@jjtorgrimsen Thanks , keep it up.
