It was so much easier to put everything together this time, I was definitely over prepared with my daughter so I share how I am only setting up the absolute essentials this time!

Literally me rn watching hours and hours of beside nursery and nesting videos because I’m coming into the nesting stage and I gotta get my postpartum stuff together and I could’ve sworn I had more time but here I am lol

It’s so interesting to see the differences in various countries. I gave birth in the U.K. in December and since it’s a public/free healthcare system they ask that you do bring everything, including the hat and diaper for when baby is born and your own towel. They provide a bed, medication and food and ask you bring everything else unless it’s an emergency of course and you don’t have anything with you.
That is definitely interesting! It's so different here. I would rather it be that way because we are basically forced to pay for things we don't necessarily need. Even with insurance our stay at the hospital had a pretty big hospital bill attached to it.
Yeah Canada is the same, I watched so many postpartum and hospital bags videos before I had my first daughter I a few thinks but almost nothing thinking they would provide . I was definitely wrong lol but I guess I’d rather bring my own stuff anyways

I fins the baby night gown, or as my husband would say, the "sweet pea" is the best for night time changing. All you do is life it change baby and pull down.
I know exactly what you are talking about and I love those gowns too! They make changing a baby so much easier! 💓

Wish garden doesn't sell that afterease anymore 😞 so sad because I really wanted it for when I delivered my first baby. I plan on using cramp bark extra pills that I took for period cramps. They make me sleepy but they def help and are a better alternative to motrin. Loved your video.

They help so much! I've heard the after birth contractions get worse with each pregnancy. It held true for me, my second time around was definitely worse!

Love your hospital bag it’s just basic and minimal I have seen some people bring a lots of stuff I thought they’re going on vacation. When I had my first baby 11 years ago it was an emergency I didn’t pack anything the hospital had everything for me only stay for 24 hours and they sent me home

Great video! How long you used this bassinet? And was it helpful during the nights?
It was incredibly helpful at night! I loved that I could lay down and see my babies safe inside. I used it for both of our kids when they were newborns. Each of them used it for about 4 months. But I started sleep training super early and put them in their cribs as soon as I could.

but its a list of everything I brought for my first pregnancy. I didn't bring nearly as much the second time around! And don't need to! ☺️so this list can help guide you to make sure you bring everything you need but just try to keep it as simple as possible 😊

I'm glad this video helped you! 😊 I definitely recommend getting as much done as you can in your second trimester! The third trimester it gets so hard to move around, plus exhaustion starts to kick in. It always helps me sleep better when I get stuff like this done too because it's one less thing I have to think about 😅

Are the flip flops to prevent you from shipping in the shower?
I've always been taught to wear flip flops in public showers to help prevent any weird fungus or ringworm infection. I think it's actually mostly for gym showers because they don't get cleaned as often. Hospital showers should definitely be cleaned between patients, but you can never be too careful! They do help prevent slipping too, plus there isn't usually a bath mat in hospital bathrooms so once you get out of the shower they are nice to have on (I took a hospital towel and laid it on the floor as a bath mat too).
