You are my second favorite host of Discover Wisconsin besides Stephanie Klett. I always have a soft spot in my heart for this show. I have only explored most of Wisconsin since I have been here since 08. What else is there for my family and I to check out in Wisconsin?
I'm mildly annoyed that overrated tourist/student traps like Nitty Gritty were included on this list; but not true Madison staples like Old Fashioned, our many brewpubs (or any mention of the importance of brewery culture in Dane Co), Ian's Pizza, Stalzy's Deli, Food Fight restaurants (Johnny Delmonico's, Cento, Monty's, Texas Tubbs, etc), Rare Steakhouse, Tornado Room, or Tory Miller's restaurants (Graze/L'Etoile), just to think of a few. This was a really narrow list that didn't capture Madison's dense foodie culture very well.
Not to mention Toby’s, Bonfyre, Salvatore’s Tomato Pies, Hubbard, Villa Dolce, Marcine’s…. We could probably list amazing restaurants all day. I would have loved to feature more but with 20 minutes, unfortunately there’s only time to feature a few. Thanks for your input, hopefully I’ll be able to go behind the scenes on more in the future.
Unsolicited advice: if you make a video about a dining scene and make the thumbnail a photo of a cocktail with whipped cream on it, you aren't doing yourself any favors with the dining crowd. Great video tho.
I think to showcase Madison the best you should not just show European, US style and a pizza place, when you could include at least one south east asian cuisine like ha long bay or Ahan, which are so beloved in madison and this is a big community in madison.

Appreciate your critique Patrick. Martini Bob has been a Madison staple for so long, I wanted to highlight him in a subtle way.
Not everyone judges the book by its cover
Fun show! As usual i see there are naysayers in the comments. 😅
More options for vegetarians - there are a lot of us here in Madison, mot to mention vegans.

Ha long bay usually has a wait line during peak hours. Shows how popular and loved it really is
Misleading title. Should be changed to madison european eats
