I always have a fear of thin lines....what if that last whisker on the cat turns out to be a 'thin line disaster' and wrecks the whole painting? Why did not any of my teachers teach in the 17 units i took of art? My god how frustrating to learn i spent all that time and learned very little. Just a studio and a sink to clean up. Sad. We were left to our devices so much! One teacher put desks in a circle and i guess that was his best input. Love you tube and this teacher is the most complete in explaining. A person can figure it out but a quick exercise just to test out stuff speeds up things a lot or get you over being stumped

Ditch the fear. It has no place in your painting, besides it is nothing but a thought anyway.

The teacher's role is to guide and to give clarity to the process. If I can do that, I've done my job.

That particular brush is a Rosemary 274 short flat. I'm leaning more and more towards using Rosemary brushes exclusively.
