- An ASTONISHING Day's Metal detecting UK: Iron Age (Celtic) Gold Coins, Hammered Medieval Coins and a SAXON pin head! Not Bad!!
It doesn't get much better than this! And It was good to get out and about participating in one of the great outdoor hobbies, metal detecting for lost treasure! Sadly I had to leave Tasciovanus (my trusty Jack Russell Terrier) behind but he makes an appearance back at Headquarters!
I haven’t given too many XP Deus tips or tips for metal detecting for beginners in this video but please feel free to leave a comment if you need to pick my brain over anything, especially if you are learning to use the XP Deus Lite.

Dang bro that’s cool as it gets! Great video and a tip from a south louisiana digger. I forgot my boots one day meeting my buds on an muddy cane field so I took off my good tennis shoes and hunted in my socks. Low and behold the mud doesn’t build up on socks. So socks over your rubber boots keeps them from building up or sticking too much. Makes for a better day in the field. Works on blackjack sticky mud here so should work where your at. Give it a try with some old big socks. Thanks for your time and sharing. I did get a big buck yesterday and for a bonus my youngest daughter got a nice one too! No taxidermy but a skull mount n order. Pat yourself for saving those wonderful relics.

Superb finds Alex! I myself found a scattered hoard of six immaculate full gold staters "early uninscribed insular cf". Sills, "Probably the earliest British gold coinage" 80-50 BC. I can fully understand your excitement and enjoyment at finding these coins... Once in a lifetime finds are a very special thing my friend.

Great finds Alexander! I totally understand you not being able to record a video each week. Must be a hell of a job. We do enjoy them though. My detector was stolen from my car last month. I am just deciding what my next machine will be. Always used C-Scope that are good machines but will try something else now.
Bad luck with the detector thief Corne - sorry about that and I suppose it depends on what you want to spend on a new one... I wouldn't put you off a deus Lite.. the price has halved since the deus 2 came out and I am still wondering if the deus 2 is that much if any better!!!!

@@HolzHammerSagas Hi Alex. The west country tribes didn't produce their own coins either. When I lived in Cornwall I visited " Chysauster Ancient Village " brilliant well worth a look but in an old reference book I read that a pot full of celtic staters were found on a hill there in the 1800's. 🪙🪙🪙.
