I love using my treadmill. Until the start of November I tended to use the tm specifically for shorter distance intervals sets (200s, 400s and 800s) or at times when the weather was not conducive to the planned workout; however I upgraded my watch, decided to give zwift running a try and have perhaps become a little addicted with it, covering over 650km since start of November.
I train with a coach through training peaks, so zwift itself is more of a fun visual aid (great motivational tool when you leg it past cyclist trying to climb the volcano or alpe d' zwift - especially if they pass comment).
During my TM warmup i tend to use a quick walking pace on flat for a few minutes, then vary the incline several times, both up and down, say 0% then 6% then 3% then 9% then 1% then 5% for example along with some negatives, eg -2% - all at walking speed, then back down to flat and vary the speed by 2kph every 15 secs until desired top end speed for run, then do 10 secs top end, a minute slow walk for about five times, bit of leg swinging, dynamic stretching, loo break and then start the run. If a hard run is planned, say weekly 60 min threshold vo2 max mixed session my warmup takes over an hour - starting with a dog walk.
one tip though. always use the safety cord. doesn't matter how much of a pro someone is, how tough they want to seem - things can go wrong - a lapse of concentration, a medical issue - when the treadmill is running at 18kph and you stand still on the belt, you will fly off and hit something or someone.

I love treadmill workouts and thank you for confirming the training plan I do follow. I just vary it a little bit. They are also good to keep you going at your steady slow run pace and not speed up. Next is good to practice keeping form at that slow pace. Cheers

I really do enjoy treadmill run, especially with Zwift's workout. Last month, I run on treadmill 3-5 times. Even I push up the incline to 4-5% to mimic the effort on the road, somehow I could not be in sync with the speed on the treadmill and on the road. I feel that running on the road is far more difficult than on the treadmill because last Tuesday was the first time in months that I went run outdoor and it was so exhausted. So, I am not sure that I have gained somethings from treadmill, at least to maintain fitness level while staying at home because of Covid-19.
I'll try these workouts and see if my fitness level has got improved.

Great video - really good production and so much more accessible than other videos out there. That "take a screenshot" reminder is a great idea.

I did today the Treadmill 05 workout and oh god.... it was a killer! It is a great workout to improve your endurance, especially if you're into trail running or hilly routes. Thanks for all of these GTN!

great workout. I do something similar, just 5 minute chunks: 5km, 6km, 7km, etc... until I can't do five minutes, then slowly cool down.... any tips how to do that with ifit? with Zwift?

I’m a little confused on the hill one, so do 30 seconds @5% then move it back to 0% for the minute then back? The treadmills at my gym move kinda slow

can anyone tell me what benefits running on the treadmill has?? Apart from easier on the joints, does the treadmill actually increase fitness ?? (As long as you push yourself during it) for someone who already has base fitness.

Okay but how are you timing these? An interval timer app? The treadmill itself?

    I don't understand treadmill 04, 1st line, 3x10 seconds @5k pace, is that not just 30 seconds @5k pace ?
What do you do in between the 3x 10 seconds ?
