- Hansa Park is a seasonal theme park, located off the Baltic Sea, in Sierksdorf Germany. The park, which is home to wide variety of attractions, caters to all types of audiences. Families can experience many of the smaller scale rides, while thrill seekers get the chance to ride some of Germany’s, and even Europe’s tallest roller coasters. In this video, we'll explore the history of the park; including their evolution from amusement park to creating the well themed immersive attractions they have today.

Here's a few error fixes for you:
- Schlange Von Midgard opened on 2011, not 2001
- The city gate is named only Holstein, at Tor means gate in German
- Nessie opened as the first roller coaster in Germany to feature a vertical loop
- Kärnapulten is a Gerstlauer Skyfly, not a Skyroller
I'm going to put all these errors down to a little bit of stress, a little bit of being an idiot, and a little bit of sleep deprivation. I'll make sure the next one is error free, sorry guys!

I think they are constructing a proper and permanent station building for Nessie, as well as more theming around the area as a whole! I guess we will all find out next year :)
COASTER BOT You better believe this I looked up Two Amusement Parks and showed every roller coaster to my dad. How glad Taylor and you will be!
As an additional note to Nessie being the first german coaster with a vertical loop: Germany´s first stationary Inverting Roller Coaster was the now defunct "Super Wirberl" (Super Vortex) at Holiday Park, however before Super Wirbel was installed at Holiday Park it was featured on the Annakirmes in Düren, since it was meant to be a portable ride, however if reports are to be believed it took them 2 weeks to build the ride at the fairground leading to the decision to not travel with it. It featured 2 Corkscrews, however Nessie stands as Germany´s oldest, still operational stationary Rollercoaster with an Inversion.
And it should be noted that 2018 was the last season for the Flying Shark ride, it will be removed from the park during the off-season.

IDK what's more crazy about Hansa park, the fact that they're able to afford and construct such massive rides with such a heavy amount of theming like Kärnan, or the fact that Kärnan was marketed as "a roller coaster for the whole family"... excuse me I think that ride may just be a bit too crazy for most people thank you very much, danke schön.
Idk why I'm replying to this comment but I went to Hansa Park today and a bunch of smaller kids were riding all the most thrilling attractions like Kärnan or Highlander.

@6:00 as far as i know tore del mar was removed because the tower of kärnan changed the winds so drasticly the the tüv and hapa decidet to replace it
Great video, it is interesting seeing the history of one of my favourite parks, and also the editing is clean. I absolutely love this park, while it might not be my favourite park, I think it is the best run park that I have been to as they invest in the park every year, even if it not a new ride they still improve the park by improving the theming on rides or adding theming to previously bare parts of the park. I think this park deserves much more recognition as it is one of the best parks with one of the best coasters in the world.
Fun/Curious Fact: “Torre Del Mar” was sold to my homepark “Fantasilandia” in Chile! The Ride opened as “Fly Over” in 2018 season!!

I had the chance to meet Andreas Leicht as part of a CoasterForce live event at Hansa Park last year. Really kind and approachable guy with a clearly apparent dedication to the park. I really enjoyed my day riding Kärnan and more. The park certainly has a genuine charm and a different ride line-up.
Some parts looks more dated, but I believe it is gradually being taken care of though, especially with the addition of the new drop tower!

Thanks for this nice overview! I always liked this park. Nessie was the first rollercoaster I rode with a loop in it. I still remember how much fear I had and when first climbing its lifthill. And then the final brake run wich was so loud because it was in a tunnel! That was soo long ago... All right, its time again. I will visit this next year!

a real good pronouncement of what hansa park is. You´re completely right. Hansa Park is getting better and better (next with the gyro drop tower) and I think it has place with the best of europes parks. Their constructions and plans are innovative and brilliant.

I love Hansa Park but I think you made a mistake with Kärnapulten. As far as I know this is a SkyFly, because the SkyRoller Model has a Tower that goes up.

I've been dying to ride Der Schwur des Kärnan since I first heard about it. Such a unique coaster. I probably won't get a chance to go for a couple more years being a student on the west coast of the US currently, but the rest of the park looks actually really cool especially with the theming. Definitely worth it imo, can't wait to get out there.
Hansa Park is a fantastic theme park. It is certainly great now but also has a lot of potential. In a few years time, and after another addition, it could be one of Europe's best! :)
Your pronunciations made may day Harry 😂👌 Just one small mistake: At 6:52 you mentioned that the parks entrance resembles the gate of Holstein-Tor. But Holstein-Tor is the name of the gate Tor meaning gate in german. The city were the original is located is called Lübeck. Excellent video though!

Two details:
First: The high flyer had to be shut down due to changed wind conditions from the new Kärnan-tower.
Second: With the new drop-tower going into Nessie's Layout, and the whole park being slowly re-themed (loosing the mexican/latin part, among other things) to the "Hanse", once again a lot of fans are fearing that Nessie's days are numbered, and that she might shut down soon.
The coaster is already an exception, with lap-bars on inverted coasters being very uncommon.
Also, the coaster does show its age (loud brakes in a tunnel, peeling paint, and some compared its ride to a Woodie).
Nessie was actually the first stationary inversion-coaster, before it they only existed in travelling form.
With Nessie getting a decent retheme next year I can't see it going within the next few years!
Last visit and day of the season today, riding Kärnan when it’s dark outside but with all the lights on is so damn awesome. And by the way, do you think Expedition G-Force is better?

Are you sure that water ride has an 85-degree drop? That sounds insane and the footage featured while you said this didn’t look anywhere near that steep.
I just looked up Super Slash and it is listed as having an 85-degree drop. It just doesn’t look like it from the footage.
Apparently it's more like a 40 degree drop, but that doesn't seem right looking at images! I'm very confused!

I always find it funny how English speaking people pronounce "Schwarzkopf". To me it always sounds like "Zwarchkoff", I think it's amusing. Just like when we Germans try to pronounce "squirrel"

Sorry! I try my best with the pronunciations and do spend time researching them. Just think, it could have been worse!
Wait i have a question. Tatsu has a drop if 111 ft and goes *62 mph* and Manta has a drop of 113 ft and goes *56 mph* Why does Manta go slower?
Sometimes roller coasters reach their top speeds part way through the layout, not at the bottom of the first drop. It is likely that Tatsu drops further mid-way through the ride increasing it's speed to the higher 62mph value! :)
COASTER BOT but manta drops till it reaches 6 feet above ground and tatsu seems like it doesn’t. It’s probably tatsu’s loop that drops 124 feet. But in your tatsu video you said it reaches 62 mph at the first drop. But after burn drops 113 feet and hits 62 mph and on manta’s wiki it did mention friction breaks.
At 4:50 you made a little mistake, you said 2001 and not 2011 ;)
