    I admire people who can come up with ideas like this and actually make it work. I also admire his ability to concentrate on his commentary with so many people hovering around. Some of whom I suspect were deliberately being a pain in the arse. Well done Geoff. Regards from Australia.

    Very Nice, my first bike was a "Panther 650" I found it in a billion pieces on the tip, I built it up on my own with just a hand full of tools & no manual, I sold it for really good money to one of my teachers, he thought it was an odd bike for a 12 year old. I have never stopped building since that one, I just got the bug, I currently have a shed & 1/4 of a garden full of next projects.

      @@theboyisso6960 "I found it in a billion pieces on the tip" It would have been scrap metal not on the tip. If it were in a billion peices how woudl he find it all? And 12 years old with no manual and just the general style of writing, more like an author than a person recounting a real experience. I see loads and loads of it on TH-cam comments. People's inclination seems to be to trust what they read in the comments! Quite funny really. Sometimes I can outright tell people are making shit up but I decided to dial back the skepticism on this one and ask for input! Thanks for replying and thanks for letting me know you kind of skeptical but not 100% sure it's BS. I think now I've reflected I'm 100% sure this person is waffling. God knows why they do it though!

    @MegaTubescreamer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    fantastic job Geoff, lets have a listen to it, the idea behind this machine
    has occupied my pipe dreams but under the Triumph marque, ! though
    having suggested that to the Hinkley factory tour chap on one visit,
    it was a dead end, "its not a market we would want to be involved with"
    which I think is a massive omission from the modern Triumph facility,
    A triumph vee twin would fit the last piece in the puzzle ,and if you can
    single handed ,cobble such a classic bike together , what`s stopping Triumph?

    • @MegaTubescreamer
      @MegaTubescreamer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Alfred Wedmore "Of that era" possibly, but the up to date manufacturing quality in modern triumph engines is far better, tolerances are much tighter, smoother running, better equipped ,triumph now could produce a world class machine Alfred, with all the heritage behind it,

    • @whalesong999
      @whalesong999 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Alfred Wedmore There were some interesting twin engined Triumph drag bikes decades back in the U.S. called "double trouble" which, IIRC, also had the engines coupled with chains. Not a convenient arrangement for a street machine I'd say.

      @@nightster6378 Yeah, was building a terminology 'bridge' between 'triple trees' and 'triple clamps' for your query. I've used "yokes" somewhere along the line too. I don't recall what they're referred to in Japanese translations which might bring even more colorful terms. Remembering now, parts requisitions always wrote those as "yokes".
