It's really awesome to see BBL so full after last and some this years snowmelt. As a kid i practically grew up in BB our family having a cabin there. Eastern Sierra's are my favorite but Big Bear always a special place in my heart.
Love big bear and I’m happy to see the lake filling up again. I went during the drought and the water quality was horrendous! Definitely taking my paddle board out this year
On the weekends, you're going to deal with traffic near the resort. CHP has pretty much made it hard for snowplay in the other areas between the lake and the resort. Traffic is heavy though coming up by 9am. Weekday, not an issue.
@@TroutWest that only about hour drive for me I been fishing haystack reservoir on the 6th they put a bunch of 5 to 6 pounders in it my favorite place to fish stay fishy Redmond OREGON

The lake definitely goes through its struggles. A few years ago it was looking pretty bad. It's definitely made a big comeback 🔥🔥
