Hello I enjoy your videos very much. You can eat the lettuce you grow the same way like you eat today at breakfast with mayo. You can also put it in smaller pieces , tear it by hand, in a bowl add cut tomatoes, cucumber , cut spring onion, salt and pepper to taste, 2 tbls olive oil, 1 tbls lemon juice, 1 chopped garlic clove. Mix everything together. Enjoy.

My walks were way more enjoyable with the fall foliage. It just really brightened my mood. I’ve come to really appreciate the finality of autumn and got out to enjoy the colors as much as I could.

We didn’t expect to still see so many green with red and yellow autumn leaves around in end Nov.. got some very nice landscape photos at Miyajima , Yifuin, Beppu & Dazaifu.. we climbed higher up the mountains it was very peaceful cause less tourists 😅

hi. two ways to harvest your lettuce. 1. snap off by hand the outside leaves only which are the largest ones leaving 2 cm of the leaf from the soil but don't cut more than 1/2 the lettuce leaves. the remaining inside leaves will grow and the outside leaves will regrow and produce more lettuce. OR 2. with very sharp knife cut all the leaves in a straight line 3 cm above soil level. continue watering and the lettuce will regrow. enjoy your salads. also, in a small yogurt or any small container you can start lettuce seeds indoors until the new leaves are 2-3 cm high then repot them in larger pot and put outdoors. lettuce, spinach, kale are cool weather greens and the same methods for growing and harvesting are the same as above so you can also grow spinach from seed the same way. spinach and kale will usually survive frost and snow so you can have fresh greens most of the winter. (i live in Canada). if it gets very cold, get a semi-clear or semi -transparent white garbage bag and two long sticks, put the sticks in soil and puncture the garbage bag on the sticks to create a tent over the greens if it temperature gets below =5C. the holes will provide air flow this is for spinach & kale but not lettuce. frost will kill lettuce.
