I personally like invincible better then the boys even tho I like both it took a while for me to get into the boys
Boys is just a mockery of the genre. Invincible is an interesting deconstruction. They are completely different things. And yes, Invincible is better.

You will not be disappointed
A few things I want to point out that aren't spoilers:
1) Mark is voiced by Steven Yuen, whom portrayed Glenn on The Walking Dead. Also, because Robert Kirkman wrote both comic series & is in charge of both tv series some Walking Dead actors voice characters on the show, including The Guardians Of The Globe.
2) There was a 2 year gap in between Seasons 1 & 2 with a stand alone episode released in between them. Season 2 also just ended, but Season 3 has been confirmed to air in early 2025. So, that's 17 episodes you'll be able to watch before catching up.
3) During Omni Man's fight with The Guardians it was the only time we actually saw blood & death in the 1st episode, which built up how shocking & mature this series will be compared to say a Justice League cartoon. Also, a subtle detail was that Omni Man doesn't say a word during the entire fight & the music stopped playing during it, which only added to the mystery as to why he killed them.
This isn't tied to The Boys at all. They're just both bloody super hero shows.
It's based on its own comic book series written by Robert Kirkman (creator of the walking dead)

The comic for this has been around for 20 years. It's just now being adapted, and they have a live action movie in the works.
The old man who makes Invincibles costume is Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker, Joker in the 90s Batman cartoons)

There is an animated show spinoff of the Boys but this isn't it, this one is way better.
There are in fact way more superheroes on Earth. However the seven was his biggest current threat. As for the other heroes very few on earth can go toe to toe with a viltrumite and live to tell the tale. You'll find out more as you go but there's a whole universe of people who are near viltrumite level and some that outrival.

"How could a cartoon be gruesome?" 😂😂😂 the end of episode 1 is just a tiny taste of the amazing cartoon violence. Episode 8 has easily one of the most fucked up things I've ever seen put on television.

Invincible is a superhero from the Image Comics universe. The Guardians are low key, a homage to the Justice League of D.C. comics.
'this is definitely a parody of The Boys' no lol, it IS a parallel of the superhero genre esp the DC superheroes. The Boys is a gritty, dark and mature rehashing of the superhero genre but it is not the origin of superheroes haha.
Invincible isnt a spin-off of the boys, it’s its own original comic book. I honestly prefer it over the boys

In my opinion, The Boys has more blood and gore but they overuse it just to be gratuitous so I feel like you kind of get desensitized to it. Until they go up a notch with something more idiotically grotesque. Invincible uses it more judiciously so it actually has impact
