I have been replacing LCDs without isolating power. I guess I could have caused damage but been lucky so far. Also found that many Chromebooks from Acer, HP, DELL, Lenovo and Samsung from 2020 have interchangeable LCDs. I have cannibalised many Chromebooks this way and got a working device from 2 broken ones.
I can't believe a repair place charged me $160 for this. Effectively cancelling my protection plan. I bought the part for $30 and got it repaired myself in 6 minutes. 😤

Can this model be connected to a monitor?
It should be possible, but would require some sort of type-c to hdmi adapter, such as a hub, cable, or adapter.
