For this device there is no write protection screw - to disable write protection, you need to unplug the battery.

Without seeing it ourselves, one possibility is that the motherboard is bad. If you're up for it, you could remove the motherboard, then plug it into your charger and see if its lights come on. That would give some indication to if the motherboard is working properly. Hello! Touch function not working could be either a bad LCD module (most likely), bad LCD cable (less likely) or a faulty motherboard LCD cable connector (very rare). Separating the LCD from the digitizer in this case might be more trouble than it's worth, as it involves a heating pad and risk of damaging the LCD - and we couldn't locate a source for just the digitizer. In this case we would recommend replacing the entire LCD module, and if issues persist, then you could try replacing the LCD cable.

Unfortunately, we don't have a recommendation for that, as the adhesive always comes with our replacement batteries. In a pinch you could use this double-sided tape in a 3 or 4mm size: www.amazon.com/dp/B019OQ4ZG0/ref=twister_B07YZKFB8B?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 HOWEVER, it's not designed to be removed as easily and might make a future battery replacement more difficult. Alternatively, you could just go with the 4 screws that hold the battery in (though you may get some rattling).

There's no WP screw on this model - to disable write protection you need to power off the device then disconnect the battery.

It's so rare that I get to say this, but yes - the SSD in the 7310 can be upgraded. Just keep in mind that it needs a 2242 form factor AND has to be a SATA M.2 - it cannot be a NVMe drive.

It's possible the LCD magnets in your replacement part may be in the incorrect orientation (this is not uncommon on non-OEM parts), which cause it to think the cover has been shut. Locate the magnets on your LCD mod, then remove them from their socket and rotate them 180 degrees before placing them back into their slot.

The screen for this device shouldn't need adhesive, as it should just pop back into the clips (unless they were broken off?).

@@Chromebookparts After the battery bulged and popped the screen out of the bezel, it needs to be resealed.

There is 1 screw hidden under a rubber foot on the bottom cover that's easy to miss. If you flip the device over, it would be under the upper left rubber foot next to the hinge.

@IncreaseAnderson-ovie as for not having an opener pick, you can try an old gift card or something similar, but don't use anything you aren't willing to damage, as it will probably bend the edges.

Hello! We don't currently have a PN for the power LED, as it's sold with the motherboard for this device.

This device requires a NVMe drive form factor size of 2230. Any model drive of that form factor should work. The NVMe that came with the device is a PCIe 3.0 x4 type.

Hello! It's not necessary to remove the entire battery, but we always recommend unplugging it whenever you're performing an operation that requires disconnecting other cables. This prevents the possibility (even though it may be small) of a short.

The equivalent of a factory reset would be powerwashing the device. Under Settings > Advanced, scroll down and you'll see an option to Powerwash. This will reset everything, but be aware that it will not unenroll a device enrolled in an admin console.

It's possible you may have skipped over it since it's right at the beginning, but we do list removing the screws hiding under the rubber feet as 'Step 1' at 00:18

Ah, yes, our mistake. While the memory is soldered onto the motherboard, the SSD is replaceable and located under the ribbon cable near the fan. Sorry about that!

It's possible your keyboard may not have a back light, but you can try pressing [alt] + [brightness key] to see if it just needs to be turned up
