  • Meet Paddy Hunt who runs a 120 hectare farm just outside of Cambridge. This farm tends to get very wet during winter, which leads to them having to take out 4 to 5 hectares of 'sacrifice paddocks' each year which became a problem.
This lead them to invest into a Smart Shelter to try and help monitor grass intake for the springer mob. They bring the cows off every night for feeding and having the woodchip bedding has saved a lot of lameness.
Something they didn't realise were the benefits to production and how much easier calving was.

I thought Chris Farley had come back, lost weight, picked up a kiwi accent and gone into dairy farming!
