  • Quick backpack tutorial!
This has been one of my most requested items, so I’m happy to finally share the process!
    Supplies:
🧶 Yarn! 2-3 skeins of our tube yarn (available on my website at StayCozyCo.com)
    🪡 Needle & thread
    ✂️ Scissors
    🪵 Wooden craft ring
    🔑 Metal key hook
    Steps:
    1. 8 loop chain
    2. 8 rows
    3. Half row of binding off
    4. Make angled flap on the other half of the row by decreasing loops with each row until they meet in the middle
    5. Cut & sew to finish ends
    6. Add wooden loop to front of the bag with an 8-10 inch strand of yarn
    7. Cut two strands of yarn for straps (I used 71” strands, but this can be adjusted for prefered length) and connect to backback
    8. Connect keyring to strand of yarn and connect inside the bag
Tag me if you try making this!

Yay! So glad you found it 🥰 I used about two skeins of my cotton tube yarn. I sell it on my website if you need some! StayCozyCo.com

Love all your work! I'm working on the bag, but I'm not sure where to shorten the flap when I start a new row? Hope I'm making sense, lol
    Thank you 😊

Yes, makes sense. It’s tricky and I have to stop and assess every time I make it too 🙃 so know you aren’t doing anything wrong, it’s just tricky! When you make the flap, you will shorten with every new row and use the last loop from the previous row as a type of binding off. When you get to the end of a row, don’t make a new loop through the last loop of the previous row. Instead bring the last loop of the previous row up and over the last loop of the row you’re working on so that it is connected and makes an angle for the flap. I really need to make a longer tutorial that shows this part in more detail, but I hope this helps for now!
      Stay cozy,
      Jess

Yes, this is a very quick overview tutorial. I use about 2.2 lbs / 1.1 kg of yarn
