I'm a court reporter in Canada, a rural area so we rarely get cases like this. But I don't think I've ever seen a more credible witness than Jason. You can tell he WANTS to tell the truth. He wants to tell it exactly like it is and let the chips fall where they may. He has too big of a conscience to lie or cover something up. My heart breaks for him and his family. So tragic 💔
His personality shows how well he was raised. Everything I've heard about Cody tells me he was a great guy with an amazing work ethic too. Never heard anybody say a single bad word about him. Grant had a wonderful family and that's what makes this so tragic and horrifying. He had such a close and loving family anybody else would have been grateful for. If Grant doesn't absolutely hate himself, he's a sociopath with no conscience whatsoever.

I'd love to have you explain to me how there's "no real evidence against Grant." I get it that the defense is trying to get the jurors to look at Chad and Cody. That's their job. We're still hearing the evidence, but from where I sit there's plenty against Grant. He's unemployed. He had the motive and the opportunity. He staged the scene to try to make it look like Cody murdered their parents and then killed himself, but the bullets didn't come from the gun near Cody's hand, and there was no gunpowder residue on him. There was no break-in, no robbery. Grant had just been caught stealing $150,000 from his parents, $50,000 from Cody to lavish on a Bulgarian cam girl. He'd been exposed as a fraud to the cam girl by his parents, and he wrote an 8-page letter, which was read in court, detailing his butthurt over that fact. At 49:08 of the video as I'm typing this, another letter from GA expressing his upset is being read by Rubart. GA used Chad's cell phone after the murders to link Chad's bank account with GA's bank account, and GA also linked his bank account to Cody's bank account. Jason has no axe to grind, no motive. He does have an alibi. Help me to understand you comment better. EDIT: How does the evidence point to anyone else?
It was no forced entry but if you remember, Jason clearly states as his significant other that they didn’t have keys to the house and would have to call his mother to let them in. There is no evidence that Jason has anything to do with this triple murder. He has proof of every where he was and what he was doing at the time of the murders. There is significant evidence that grant is responsible.
Nonmi Hiseddeo no I’d like for you to tell me about all the hard concrete undisputed proof... such as blood splatter on his clothing or something of a sort... even gun powder residue???? But there’s nothing.
@@AlmaCoco25 There's no hard evidence that he committed the murders, but there's enough circumstantial evidence to make it extremely obvious he did it.
Can someone explain why the female prosecutor doesn't really ask any questions other than "do you recognize this?" or "what is in this photo?", and admit items into evidence.
Every item of evidence ( weather is a picture or an object ) has to be admitted in evidence for the jury to be able to go through them, if needed, when they go to deliberations. Also, every item of potential evidence that is collected has to be entered into evidence as it can be useful ( to prosecution or defense ) in the actual trial, retrial and so on. And the witness has to describe the items of evidence and state where he / she collected them from for record purposes. In a trial is everything about the context and the relevance the evidence has in a certain context and presenting everything nicely wrapped for the jury to understand and be able to give a verdict. Although many people find it to be a waste of time and money and they might not underatand everything, I guess that everyone would want everything to be shown and explained if they or someone dear to them would be on trial. Afterall we are talking about someone's life
@@oananar8207 Yeah chain of custody for evidence is extremely important. Cases can be completely thrown out if this isn't done properly. Happens all the time.
Watching this and not being shown any of the exhibits are videos or pictures is a little bit like attending an autopsy and not actually see the body because it's "too sensitive"
I do not believe that a smile should be ANYWHERE in this courtroom period. This is serious and the state's female attorney is smiling while talking to Arthur Rubart... not appropriate. Not that everyone should be booohoooing (and the one that SHOULD is not!!) but still... smiling? I think not the place or time.
Why wouldn't the defence be sorry? Jason is obviously a good man who is grieving the loss of his whole family. It's only human to feel for him. It may be the defence's job to defend Grant, but that doesn't mean that they condone his actions, or that they're sociopaths themselves.
I’ve seen a lot from this trial and interrigation video full, BUT did Chad or Gody have ANY card left in the house or did he took them all? If all, it should told all.
Jose Guajardo because defence is saying someone else did this, so if that somebody would be killer why and how Grant end up with the cards being used later.

Just because they aren't his biological kids doesn't mean he doesn't see them as his kids, I mean he even said that himself. There is a huge difference in between talking in front of a bunch of children or even parents and is another thing to be questioned by total strangers in front of other 12 strangers that listen carefully everything you are saying, in a courthouse, on a triple murder trial. What are we even talking about? 🤔

I think that part of it had something to do with the fact that she is answering questions from strangers, in front of 12 other strangers listening carefully to everything she says, in a courtroom, in a triple murder trial ( and she said herself that she doesn't feel comfortable talking in public...a different kind of public, not a bunch of children ) and I bet that that alone can make you nervous and act according to it
Cut her a slack. All this comments about that : how can a teacher be nervous talking in public, why is she doing what I know I know with her lips and so on. I done seen them pics in another channel. I wished the guy who posted then had shown respect for the victims and Jason.
This feels like all the attention is focusing on the brother Jason. Is it because there was no forced entry and no real evidence against Grant?
The gun powder on his gloves?
@@AlmaCoco25 There's no hard evidence that he committed the murders, but there's enough circumstantial evidence to make it extremely obvious he did it.
Idk how anyone can focus with that constant typing!!!!
@ Rob Mullin. That's the Judge typing. Court reporter machines are not loud
I didn't even notice it, some people just aren't hypersensitive to background noise.
I been following dis case.
Omg, the jury member who asked about the cost of the family meal. Really?
Miss Tro I think to ensure to his/her fellow jurors Jason’s alibi and that the 4 of them were at that dinner since the total was low? I dunno!
They're trying to absolutely clear Jason beyond a shadow of a doubt, so all roads point back to Mr. Alien Skull. They want to ensure that conviction.
Tranquil Rabies lmao mr alien skull 💀
At least the jury knows how dinner at that restaurant is . Maybe go there after the trial
What's up with the guy sitting next to grant?? Sitting there like a child while all the adults talk
Watching this and not being shown any of the exhibits are videos or pictures is a little bit like attending an autopsy and not actually see the body because it's "too sensitive"
It's almost like this was for records and not the entertainment of TH-cam viewers.
Ugghh Camera Op We Want To See The Pics
Star Shine ~ it’s not up to the camera operator. It’s the judge who dictates what can and will be shown.
Seriously what is the deal with questioning Christina about their tab at the restaurant?? Just ridiculous
Get over it
I wonder if the defense attorney is really sorry or is he saying that to earn sympathy points with the jury.
Shamina, how you doin? I don't know , but I sure feel baf for Jason. Where you grom girl.
Why wouldn't the defence be sorry? Jason is obviously a good man who is grieving the loss of his whole family. It's only human to feel for him. It may be the defence's job to defend Grant, but that doesn't mean that they condone his actions, or that they're sociopaths themselves.
Did anyone else notice how she looked directly at Grant at 15:57?
I’ve seen a lot from this trial and interrigation video full, BUT did Chad or Gody have ANY card left in the house or did he took them all? If all, it should told all.
Why.
Jose Guajardo because defence is saying someone else did this, so if that somebody would be killer why and how Grant end up with the cards being used later.
You made a very good point.
Sub teacher & doesn't like public speaking 🤔
She may deal with the little ones.
@@dianeparr2483 true
But its court, anyone would be a little scared.
Diane Parr has
Talking to a class room isn’t “public”.
Am I really listening to somebody describe a photograph to a jury that can see the photograph 🤔
I think it serves the purpose for the court's record as it is written down by the court reporter.
@@MassEffectGER Aaah I see. Thank you. Everyday is a school day!
Sandra Bullock presiding, everybody.
What a pathetic letter he wrote in the hotel after he killed his family
I wonder why Christina didn't have a child with Jason . As the 2 daughters are from her previous relationship .
Maybe she can't?? Or choosing not to since her children are older now.
So? He’s raised the girls since they were really young- they are his kids, too
Well he said he had been their dad for 10 years, and the kids are 16 and 14 so they were 6 and 4 when he came into the picture. Kind of a handful, not sure if you have kids. She probably just had enough and Jason seems like a really sweet guy that sees them as his own daughters regardless of biology. Just because they aren't his biological kids doesn't mean he doesn't see them as his kids, I mean he even said that himself. Kind of an ignorant question to be honest, like you're saying they aren't good enough for him because they aren't biologically his...
Jason raised them from near young age and he's there dad and doing a good job
@@ATLTraveler never said they are not good enough , but you’d think two people who love each other t would want to have a child together . He’s not their dad , you can be delusional as much as you want , he is a good care giver , he’s probably much better than their dad , but he’s not their dad . This idea that a person can be mom or dad only cause they are good caregivers is a big lie that they have been telling us . Mom and dad are the two people who have given us life , not the ones who have raised us ( and for most people it’s the same ) .
What does what they ate have anything to do with anything?
Make this trial interesting and get the Bulgarian cam model
This is the angriest, rudest judge I've ever seen. Has to be part of the psychology driving the verdict. Also, the aggressive keyboarding. So obnoxious.
Is a substitute teacher: “Sorry I don’t like public speaking.”
Don’t know why but I found that humorous. Like did she sleep in and arrive at career day late or something lol.
There is a huge difference in between talking in front of a bunch of children or even parents and is another thing to be questioned by total strangers in front of other 12 strangers that listen carefully everything you are saying, in a courthouse, on a triple murder trial. What are we even talking about? 🤔
What can he possibly take note of .......
I don't see Sandra Bullock at ALL in this judge idk y everyone is saying this only her hair maybe
53:03 the right hand glove looks like it’s been wet or something, it’s messy looking compared to left
@Steve G obviously you missed it
Mr Rubart said he put distilled water on the swab in order to do the DNA test inside gloves. It may be an explanation, who knows...
Who's this blonde chica in blue suit? Another state attorney's assistant?
Why nobody say a golem reference?
A more fitting number for his hotel room would have been not 366, but 666!
I don't understand whats with her mouth? Her sucking her lips around her teeth is making it more noticeable. I would of asked Mom for a loan to fix my mouth .. I would of paid it back.
I think that part of it had something to do with the fact that she is answering questions from strangers, in front of 12 other strangers listening carefully to everything she says, in a courtroom, in a triple murder trial ( and she said herself that she doesn't feel comfortable talking in public...a different kind of public, not a bunch of children ) and I bet that that alone can make you nervous and act according to it
Public Speaking?🤔🤷🏾♂️
songbird372 P Yes
I like watching real life trials but can’t with this judge.
I like her :)
Rob Mullin I doubt that.
If the gloves don’t fit ya must acquit
If she wouldn't keep making the faces, no one would notice her teeth.
who?
@@harletterider9658 the teacher
Cut her a slack. All this comments about that : how can a teacher be nervous talking in public, why is she doing what I know I know with her lips and so on. The woman is questioned by strangers in front of other strangers who listen carefully to everything that she says, she is in a courtoom, testifying in a triple murder trial, filmed and transmitted all over the internet. Most of the people would be more nervous that usually
That prosecutor cannot think on his feet at all. Kind of scary. Ummm ummm ummm
are they ever going to get to the murder portion of the murder trial?! I mean we are learning what everybody had for dinner, learning what they have in their wallet, credit scores, etc... I've never seen a trial where they go through somebody's wallet piece by piece hold it up front and back show it to the jury!!! it's almost like they are purposely creating a diversion to get their attention away from the fact that he committed 3 murders. I mean this is just crazy stuff that proves nothing! let's get to the murder portion of the murder trial!! no wonder so many people in Florida are found Not guilty for the murder for which they are charged, because everybody forgets about it in the course of the trial! it's easy to forget about victims when we're going through somebody's purse and wallet and even dissecting what they had for dinner a month ago also learning what designer they're wearing where they shop how much they spent showing the back and front of receipts we lose sight of what the trial is really all about!!! if you want to commit a murder and get away with it, go to Florida....because you can take everybody's attention away from what's really important all you got to do is just start juggling some lemons and talk about the weather anything goes in Florid... Apparently its an anything goes state
I know I'm late, but the mundane dinner questions are to establish that Jason has a solid alibi
You can tell they’d be a great table and tip 22%
What a lot of absolutely in my opinion stupid questions to this witness
Rubart is a real cutie
That was a cheap bill for 4 people and a 2 hr dinner.
@43.00 Damn! I'm a sucker for ponytails! Nice ASMR with the evidence unveiling, btw.
Christina ..says the dad rang during the meal..n the bill was thm "sharing" a meal..🤔🤔🤔
Omg sub teacher and no public speaking. Wth
vickie kasafirek; Florida public school system has a serious shortage of teachers.
An enclosed classroom space full of terrible children is very different from an intimidating courtroom with lawyers, a jury, and TV cameras.
I'm going out on a limb and speculating that being subpoenaed to testify against your brother-in-law in a trial for murdering most of the fam is slightly more nerve wracking than doing your everyday job.
Boring and repetitive (on unimportant topics) attorney..........
I am just not a fan of this prosecutor although I cant really decide why LOL
THE DEFENDENT HAS MANY ATTORNEY
Stop yelling obvious things ... we have eyes..
who the hell lives with mommy anddaddy at 29?
sammy11232003 The older brother Cody he killed was 31 and still lived at home. Cody was actually very successful in his career as well. When you have a giant home, why move out?
I wonder why it's most time women posting this kind of comment, sure as a women you don't because if you want to move out there is always a sugar daddy providing for you. However as male you don't have those kind of options. And if you can't provide for yourself for whatever reason you are stuck at home.
Its a modern world now where sometimes living at home helps your family and vice versa The 50s and 60s are long gone and the economy is way different.
@@brandismith3911 : Cody couldn't move out his lil loser brother spent all his money. ( Paid his lawyer for criminal charges, trip to Japan, Grant stole $$ from him as well)
Why was mommy and daddy still paying his cell phone bill at 29

Maybe she just doesnt like the way she sounds on a microphone. Doesnt want to be on tv because she knows she will be scrutinized by some ding dongs with nothing better to do..!
My God, the same dumb comment all over again. Talking in front of a bunch of children or parents and talking in a courtroom on a triple murder trial streamed all over the internet is bot the same f*****g thing.
PROSECUTOR IS SO BORING! This case could be so interesting yet he’s PAINFUL TO WATCH & LISTEN TO! His style is NOT ADHD-FRIENDLY
This isn't a tv show for your entertainment. I get it is televised but a person's life hangs in the balance....a person who, like it or not, is innocent at the time of this taping.
This is why court proceedings should not be televised. People with an IQ of 100 or less think this is on tv to be entertaining just for them, that it isn't our actual constitution at work.
I am a teacher but don’t like public speaking lol. And she is very annoying sorry but she is. Stop doing that thing with you mouth and speak up please, you sound like daffy duck. Maybe she should have prepared a little bit🤣
It seems to me that there is something does not feel entirely right with Christina... her body languaje tells more about her nervous mood...adding the kind of answers...the tipe of repetitive hands moviments besides her eyes moking around... I don't feel Jason like completely honest on police interrogation room with his brother.
Finally I don't see totally clear the behaviour of Jason and Christina along the trial...seems like not totally authentic...I may be wrong...but is just the filling I have when I watch the trial.
It's kinda a miscalculation to use a female cutesy blonde for evidence collection when the judge is also female. Prosecution probably should have found a blonde male since the Judge was female to make the process less irritating. >:-)
Of course the black guys wearing glasses indoors
Your an idiot

Has anyone seen Christina and Jason in the same room together? I'm wondering if she is Jason with his ponytail down. The mannerisms, soft voice, facial features...uncanny. Maybe she is really his sister? Jason was adopted so you never know?
Sometimes when you live with someone for many years you start to take on some of their characteristics. I've seen some doves owners look like their dogs! Lol!
I think that alot of people are attracted to people that look like themselves. I see that with alot of couples. I didn't know that Jason was adopted.
Jason was adopted by the dad not the mom. His stepfather chad adopted,
