I'm so happy I discovered what ifs as a format of storytelling, and Pickled Dill is one of my favorites. Due to the inactivity of another youtuber who reads fanfiction based on the same concept, I've been left starving for more Serena in Kanto stories.
This "What if" inspired me to make a similar one, but with Serena, Goh and Chloe as Ash's traveling companions! You and Rinoh Charizard inspire me to do pokemon what ifs! Your series are very good and interesting, thank you for being inspirations!^-^
This timeline is good also I realized Pikachu was never injured as badly unlike in the regular timeline. It would be weakened pretty badly after the attack though. Also no incounter with Misty. I think Ash and Serena make a better fit than Ash and Misty. Thats just my opinion.
Im sorry im a Year late to this party but i love the similarities Ash Gary and Selena have to Red Blue and Green respectively and yes in this What If universe i do consider Selena a stand in for Green

I would have made serena return to Kalos and then arrive with Fenekin as her starter and a newly caught Fletchling to add more spice to the what if hehe

I like your version of the show better than the actual show. Giving how insanely popular Serena is I am still dumbfounded why they didn’t make her a permanent member of the cast. When she came back to Journeys I guarantee viewership went up.
@@RaptorofRex07 I guess that might be True I don't think many people would Complain if Brock was there the entire time especially if it was a well told What-if story. But I think separations or temporary ones at least are common as even in a world and story told like this Goodbyes will have to happen and it gives a chance for others to grow on their own and have their own adventures and just because they are supposedly on their own doesn't mean they can't find other allies it sometimes also goes to show how certain paths can intersect but still have times where their routes split off and rather than take both paths splitting up makes the journey faster and can lead to growth.
