Number 1 is great advice. I should have done this years ago. I would pick a novel set in modern Scotland, specifically the Highlands. I guess I always loved the mountains in a faraway land, even though I grew up as a beach bum. Number 6 is great. I am already doing this. I watch/listen to a TH-cam website called ‘Brit Girls’. They are two British women married to American, living in Arizona. They talk about the differences between living in the USA and the UK. They talk about social/economic differences, holiday celebration differences, national parks, music, and a lot more topics. I comment on their website and they love my feedback. Oh well, I know I must face this situation and get over the obstacles.

I am currently learning German and Arabic and have observed some similarities in these two with English like Synonyms, informal and formal expressions being separate, homophones etc. Also learnt the word entomology wrt English. Looking forward to be in Europe after a few years 😊.
