You qualified in all 3. You podiumed in !. And still you're disappointed. That's what makes a competitive person. Did you enjoy yourself? Did you learn from participating? Do you want to do it again? That's what makes it a successful experience. I hope you enjoyed it and come back to do it again. You are capable and deserve to be enjoying yourself.
Thank you! Yeah it’s a class scenario if so close but yet so far, was in a good position for the speed and the style going into the final so come up short was well annoying 😅 still had a good trip
Honestly think this should be essential viewing for people entering competitive sports. Knowing you could have done better is so painful. I still think what you accomplished in all three disciplines was incredible. Maybe one year they should do a combined cup too. I dunno how you could score it, I know the climbing system got some hate at the Olympics...
That would be sick, I would be down for that, but I think with funding at the moment just getting prizes for the main comps is hard enough. I think it will be a couple of years before anything like that happens
ah so that's what the title actually is, i was really confused at first haha good vid, good vid i know you're a really competitive and focused athlete who did not do as well as you wanted, but i hope you still enjoyed competing :)
Soo Proud of you guys, hitted so many crazy tricks especially side pre, hopefully you'll won that one next time, so shocked of your tricks, wish you luck mate
Congrats on the podium. You’ve been consistently highly placed in a bunch of top comps for quite a while & this one, you pushed the physical side with all 3 disciplines. Really impressive. I think one of the best thing in your comp performances is that you don’t throw the toys out the pram if someone else brings it & you get beaten, as long as you put in the performance, you only show frustration if you don’t think you’ve hit the [really high] standard you expect of yourself, so I get the disappointment, but don’t bet yourself up. Every fail is a lesson, whether that’s training for endurance (like you hinted at), or just keeping more in the tank/managing output level so you have it when you need it.
Yeah defo! The only disappointment I have is in the performance I’ve done. As you can see I wish it went better but I think that’s due to being fatigued, this is defo something I can work on! Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
Loved this BTS. Really felt the emotions with you at the end too. But you’ve got one of the best competitive attitudes in the game. Can’t wait to see you come back even stronger next year!
Impressed in your challenging yourself as your career progresses :) Going for the same, one, gold medal event year after year is a bit boring and is a sure road to dissapointment in any case. Broadening what you're trying to achieve and what you can do as an athlete year-on-year takes you to a whole other level of pro inspiration. Congrats on the bronze!
Congrats on the speed podium Ed! 👏 I gotta echo the sentiments of other people here - competing at that level across multiple disciplines is so much harder. The competition is probably planned out assuming people will only progress through one discipline of the competition. Perhaps your success across the disciplines was your downfall - just too much to take on without enough recovery time? 🤔 Anyway, congrats to Tim also, and what a great competition partner for taking on SPL2! 😁
Bro I can completely understand the frustrations, but as it goes, on to the next…. The grind continues! Big respect to the effort in this video, mad tech, mad flips, just wasn’t the day 💪 That side pre even not stuck is on another level… 🔥🔥
I think considering you competed in all 3 events, it's a big physical and mental step-up so to put 100% in each event regardless of how well you did in the last one (or the preps) requires a lot. Kinda makes me think of top tennis players when they go a set down and have to bring it back - trains your mental game like no other. Really appreciated this video and your commentary during the tough moments
you did great Ed dont ever forget that your a great atleat overall, sometimes you score sometimes you score sometimes you miss moost importent enjoy your journey have fun with . :)
Hello Ed. Iam not sure if you are going to read this but i will leave it here anyway. So for me personaly you won all of it. To be able to compete in all 3 competitions which all of them are explosive strenght centric, all of them are super hard to focus on, to have a handicap you allways coming to competition bit more tired than everyone else... Considering all of that you are one of the most all round athleate out there. I think you underastimate how hard it is to compete in two competitions at once let alone 3 of them. I think you are too harsh on yourself, and iam sure you are on a right path to be legendary. To be honest as someone with degree in sport education you allready did impossible to recover so well and compete with other.... Thank you for what you are doing and thank you to show people in parkour comunity you can truly be all round athlete and you dont need to focus on just one format.
Thanks for your comment! Yeah I’m glad I was able to come through and compete in all 3 and I’ve definitely learned a lot for the next one, I’m gonna have to train a little harder so I’m able to stay consistent throughout all 4 days
Glad to hear that you are not gonna give up and try all of them even tho its harder and not something most people would do. I suggest to do a lot of short interval traing it should help to build you stamina and get better in recovering after a load. Thank you once again for doing it :) @@EdScottProductions
As others have said you might not have won and it's easy for me to say sitting here but you shouldn't be dissapointed. What you do is nothing short of amazing and myself along with countless others tune in every week because of what great things you do. As always great seeing Tim with you too.
The level of obsession for this man is through the roof! You're an amazing athlete with sick lines, sucks that it was one of these days when things just didn't feel right. Made for some good content and a place on the podium, that's a job well done sir!

Well done Ed, hey is this event, same time every year, If so when does it start. As I’m in next province over in Alberta, where in Vancouver is this.

Sideflip to rail is Very very difficult but it doesn't give a huge "wow" moment like a hard double flip or smth that should've been in consideration
Maybe endurance coming into play, Ed's working really hard during the practice rounds too.
Dom holding the UK flag. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍
❤
My Ed Scott
Beast mode! shame about the camera flutter :/
