My wife and i stayed there when it was 30 degrees outside. The room never got warm at all. We ate at the steakhouse and that was a 10. Tom and Susies diner for breakfast. Amazing biscuits and gravy.
I have pictures of this place from 1965 ish when my mom and dad went to California from Michigan at 17 years old. My dad ran the space age lodge and worked the liquor store next to Disney, he used to drive the vw bus with the rocket on the roof, dropping off tourists. It was owned by the stovells, my dad said they where great people to work for they even wanted him to stay in California and run some of the other hotels .
