Momentum is your friend on this stuff! But at the same time it’s hard to carry any speed on the super tuff stuff! You have to just feather that throttle then nail it at the top of the obstacle usually that gets me over anything! I prefer the steep long smooth hills over the ruff stuff! I love packing the front wheels from the bottom of a mountain to the tip top! 😂

They are tusk and they haven’t had boots or grease in them for who knows how many rides now
Love to know what kind of bearings were used in the trans that broke. Sandcraft?
The bearing that failed was an OEM bearing that was replaced about 400 miles ago when the Gear reduction was installed. We replaced it with skf bearings 👍🏼

Where’s the best place to stay to be able to ride over to Tackett?
Depends what side you want to ride but if you can stay somewhere close to reds general store trails are pretty close
@@brokeboysoffroad8819 we always stay at ride royal blue but it’s a haul over to Tackett only did it once and didn’t get to explore much
@@garrettbaker8 we stayed at hollow mountain campground and it was still a solid 8-10 mile road ride over to Tackett. There just ain’t many spots real close to Tackett that will accommodate our large group.

Tackett is right in my backyard and we have 100 acres and are building some cabins on Wilson gap rd for air Bnb will be closer to summer before they are done but will have plenty of parking
