For the running animation you can see him slip into like a sort of gallop for a little while before going back into just running. nice touchb especially considering ori's feet
Its amazing to think that these are computer renders like Ori and yet the color palate on some of these gives off the illusion of 2-D animation. Kudos to the art department, and kudos to your wicked animation skills. I hope they have you working on Ori: and the Will of the Wisps.
bro i remember being subscribed to you over a decade ago because of your HL animations and remember you talking about working on a game. Then life happened, you drop off my radar and when I finally rediscover you by a half-assed memory of a really good HL Dog animation it turns out you animated two banger games. Life's funny sometimes,
Hah! Subscribed to you for reasons I can't recall, just to now see THIS! Ori is bar none one of my most favorite platformers of all time and this will probably not change so soon thanks to your absolutely stellar animation work there. Can't wait to see what game you'll be working on next!
wow i had no idea you worked on that ! i love the game and i would love if there was a ori 2 or somthing like that its one of my favourite game of all time!
I never really understod, was animation in Ori done through skeletal animation and models, or it is all was pre-rendered sprites? Sometimes it looks like one, but sometimes like another...
Darth Biomech everything you see in-game is pre rendered sprites. the reason it looks like real-time skeletal animation is because they actually took the time to render transition animations... the crazy bastards. so far instance instead of immediately starting a new animation to jump. the engine picks the best animation based on what's happening and it ends up looking gorgeous and smooth. there is an entire GDC talk about it if your interested on GDCs TH-cam page Edit: turns out @Archdruid Bookwalter is right. While Ori was 2d in the Blind Forest they actually are 3d in will of the wisps
Holy crap. Fluid and realistic as fuck. I'm glad I followed you back when you were making sweet TF2 dance animations, if you keep this up you're gonna go places. :D
AUGH I paused it at 3:10 to type that and was hit by the drama which occurred shortly after like a mach truck. So frikken realistic the emotion was damn palpable.
So you ain't working for Valve after all? Well, good for you then. Considering how much progress they did from Half-Life 1 to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, looking on it through the 18 years gap between them… I don't think you would make use of your talents.
BlazeHeartPanther Blaze not for me, watching out I lose her kids was the worst. Imagine going to get McDonald's for your kid only to come back and theyre dead
Here's a question for you; when will you convince the others to put Will of the Wisps on the Nintendo Switch? I need more of this beautiful animation on the only gaming device I have.
Where is Warsoup? Is it ever gonna be finished? As an beginner animator I love your work and Warsoup was the first thing that drawn my eyes on your animations. Do you still work on it?
YOU'RE the one who did the animation for Ori and the blind forest? No wonder the animation in that game was so jaw-droppingly incredible!
0:22 i love that one
sneaky sneaky
So, wait. You worked on these splendidly smooth animations for that amazing game?!
*mind blown*
For the running animation you can see him slip into like a sort of gallop for a little while before going back into just running. nice touchb especially considering ori's feet
Wow I didn't know you found so much success since your early TF2 videos. Congrats, you deserve it!
Such personality in your characters, every animation in the reel is gorgeous. Awesome work

I wish I could zoom in to watch Ori's animation ingame. I never realised how heavy is the ball for Ori.
Czesnek probably like 150lbs cause the ball is almost like a bolder... Ori is pretty strong for her height.
@@Kat-tu2dg Acrobatic, too, with all the backflips.
Wow, you worked on Ori?! Kudos dude! :D
Arcien No no No. You mean Kuro ;)
-Kudos- Kuros

The characters are 3d, but everything else is 2d.

To those who are asking yes, he helped with the reel. You can also check out Xbox and MoonGameStudios for soundtracks and behind the scenes
