Players like Shai, Luka, and Jokic are succeeding quite a bit in this league because they literally slow the game down at their own speed/pace. The reason why international players are here and are taking over is because they aren’t working on flashy, quick, look at me moves like most AAU kids in America are. Why does everyone think the international players are just blossoming here n there? They play the game the way they want. Slow it allllll down and gets what’s best for their teammates and themselves. Quite fascinating yet simple.
I agree with you that those players succeed because they control the game but to sit up here and act like American players don’t play with pace compared to them is crazy as hell lol plenty of players from America just as good as international players if not better and in America what you see on social media is flashy because it gets clicks! There are plenty of young players coming up in the U.S. and in the league that are rooted in fundamental basketball and slow the game down completely and play overall team basketball.
@@gbrown2866Exactly the point is there but Canadian kids basically play the same style and schedule as Americans. Shai’s Canadian AAU team even played EYBL.
OKC looks great. They have another great rookie class with Cason Wallace and Chet. In these highlights OKC looked miles ahead of the Cavs. I think the Cavs need a new coaching staff to keep Mitchell.
I’m showing my age, but he’s Andrew Toney just 2 inches taller. Same body type, played at their own pace, deadly mid range and could get to the rim on anyone. SGA 6”6 195, Toney 6’4 192.
Shai also had two pretty suave buckets taken away in this one too. One of which would've been an and 1 but they called the foul on the floor outside the bonus so it didn't even result in free throws. Superb game for him all around and a key win to keep us on the path towards the postseason.🌩☝

@@KelkasworldI'd go 1. Curry 2. Luka 3. Dame 4. Booker 5. SGA...and then Mitchell, Haliburton, Fox, Murray, etc.

Top 5 point guard in the NBA
Crazy he's gone from a role player to a borderline top 10 player in the game in just a couple years.
I think this is the year he solidified himself as a top ten player especially if he’s all nba again especially first team.
Borderline lol? He is a top 10 player
