    Review of different product lines. I love the faves but it is nice to hear about product lines as a whole too. Thank you for all you do! Also, different texhnoques like LOC, Smasters, squish to condish, etc. And how to train hair that curls 3 different directions.

  • @iviarivera435
    @iviarivera435 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Happy new year! Really enjoyed this video, most of my regimen made the list: JBCO shampoo, makura honey deep conditioner, for leave in shea moisture low porosity/kinky curly (depending on what I can find), devacurl styling cream and finish with a small amount of ouidad climate control gel. I'm not one to comment but have been watching your videos since going natural in 2015. I grew up in PR and was always told curly hair was not professional. However, when I moved to Boston my job became a priority and I really wanted to feel comfortable in my own skin so I stopped straightening. I feel like I finally understand my hair. That said winter here really does a number on me so maybe I'll try the as I am leave in. Thanks so much for helping me through this journey!

    Yayyy!! 👏 there are some of my favorites here also! So can u consider doing a video on grey curly hair? Besides transitioning for a year now I have a few hereditary grey hairs which dont bother me . what bugs me is that their texture does not allow them to clump in with my other curls, therefore "hello little greys popping out in my fresh wash and go" I've handled them a little bit w ogx KERATIN oil mist but still looking out 4more!
    😘

    • @RisasRizos
      @RisasRizos  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Nicole! Glad that some of these are your favorites too! Great minds think alike! =D I don't have too much experience on greys yet (knock on wood!). But I'd like to look into this and maybe suggest some curly bloggers that are more experienced in that! Give me a few weeks to see what I can find!

    my 5 year old has the most driest hair 😢 it used to be sooooo pretty when she was younger. her edges and nape area are curly (looks like your curls) BUT her crown is soooo dry and looks like waves -- i've been trying to "fix it" .... I found your channel and i've been binge watching.

      Hey Kelly! Everyone's hair is different. If you're just starting your transition, I'd recommend the Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner. Styling products depend on where you are in your transition.

    I just tried the Neutrogena shampoo and I have to say that it is amazing. It really clean my hair from all that buildup. What are your thoughts when you compare it the the one from Deva curls? Thanks for the video!

    • @RisasRizos
      @RisasRizos  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YASSSSS I love when other people try stuff I've tried and love it. Reminds me that I'm not crazy even though I can be a little crazy lol In comparison, The DevaCurl Buildup buster is sulfate free while the Neutrogena AntiResidue Shampoo is not. While the sulfate in the neutropenia shampoo is a gentler sulfate, it isn't 100% sulfate free. So I don't use it as often as a sulfate free shampoo but i find that in the events that i want to clarify my curls thoroughly, I can do so effectively! I love them both! Sometimes I need suds in my life.

  • @elizabethurena2303
    @elizabethurena2303 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi you are such a beautiful person. So I had two questions. Question #1: how often do you use the neutrogina shampoo and will this shampoo help with my itchy scalp? Question#2 I suffer from a really itchy scalp, once your stylist starts selling the oil it is possible for you to distribute it or what will you recommend for my scalp.

    • @RisasRizos
      @RisasRizos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awww thank you Elizabeth, that's so kind! To answer your first question, I do not use the Neutrogena shampoo as often as the SheaMoisture JBCO. On days when i need a very thorough clarifying shampoo, I grab the neutropenia, while the JBCO shampoo is gentle enough to use ever day if i wanted to. The itchy scalp could be an issue from a variety of reasons. If it's because of buildup, the Neutrogena shampoo could help. and to answer your second question, AS SOON AS CHISSEL STARTS SELLING THAT OIL GIRL I'M COMING TO FIND YOU. You and your scalp will LOVE this oil!

    I haven't tried the as I am cowash, think I'll get that. I've always used the jbco Shea moisture deep conditioning masque but want to try something new - Manuka one. Other than that basically use same products as you do! Looking forward to this type of vids! New Years resolution for first half of year is hair health and last half goal is length. As always your hair is amazing. Maybe you can do a before and after hair (side by side pics), when you started channel. 💕

    • @RisasRizos
      @RisasRizos  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey bella!!!!! Thanks for checking out the video! So fun seeing your name here, you're like practically a cousin now! lol If you're a fan of cowashing I think you'll really like the As I Am coconut cowash! The Manuka will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! You can absolutely achieve your length goal for your second half once your hair health goal is met. Strength before length! I spent a bit of time today going through old photos and realized I never did a hair journey video so I hope to do that soon! Oh! and I got an update from Shea and should be getting your products by next week fingers crossed!!! I'll email you soon about that! Big hugs!!

      RisasRizos haha, seriously I feel like part of the family. 😂😍 putting the Manuka honey together with the diffuser you mentioned last time in my shopping cart asap. I'm so motivated. You're absolutely right, strength before length everyday. Eeeek!! Thank you thank you, so excited. Can't wait for the goodies. I've even started using these good products on my nearly 2 yr old daughter and can see the difference. Thank gurl, you really are inspirational. Looking forward to the vids this year!💕
