A faster and easier way to change the belt is to drive the mower up on two car ramps and then take the floor deck off and the belt guards off and you good to go with out drooping the deck
Guess it depends on the height of the ramps because the deck needs to have no weight on it (resting on the ground) to slide the levers off the pins easily. But if that works for you great!
My guess is that you have a belt that's too large. Check the exact belt number for your mower. Sometimes the newer replacement belts are designed to be slightly smaller than the original number belt. You should use the replacement belt length.

hey so i have the same mower and the belt is loose even though i put the springs in the same spot. any chance anyone can help me out
