    Maybe I missed something, but on an 'ultimate' build designed for games, a 7800X3D would be better than the 12700K, plus, you get future upgrade compatibility, where was LGA 1700 will either get one more upgrade or just be gone.

    • @KuzTech
      @KuzTech  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Ultimate is only my understanding, there are definitely better hardware combinations however I wanted a cpu with a lot of cores to play games such as BeamNG. Plus when I ordered all the parts I could not get my hands on a 7800X3D and the 13th gen was way overpriced

    • @crispycarll
      @crispycarll ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I get that you could get more performance with the 7800X3D it not reliable right now since it started frying and it’s quit expensive too

      @@KuzTech Makes sense, thanks for the answer

    • @yesyess5168
      @yesyess5168 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@crispycarll While I would agree it is quite expensive, it's not that expensive for what it offers. I also agree on reliability, but as far as I'm aware, the fried 7800X3Ds were all overclocked on ASUS motherboards, so I think it's something to do with overclocking rather than the chip itself.

    • @netfreak6993
      @netfreak6993 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      7800x3d is frying and also damaging other components. So, intel is good choice atm.

    • @KuzTech

      yeah, it goes in no problem, the only issue i had was that some cables were less flexible than the others, therefore i removed the HDD tray off camera to make room for the excess length of the cables. if you want to be sure of that the psu will fit you can go for Corsair's SHIFT series, they have the ports on the side and the cables are much smaller

    this gen of gpus is.. strange. they have the biggest, most overkill coolers ever and thus the most silent, but the worst coilwhine range ever. i have 2 different computers in the house and 4 different psu laying around to test. 2 of them, are new psus with nativ 12vhpwer connecters and i now had 9 cards here, 5x 4070tis and 4x 4080s. all of them, had coilwhine, with the 4070tis being the worst. the zotac 4080 was the best in that department. silent whine, but still whine anyway, but the fans have this annying humming like a aio pump thats gets magnified the faster they go. all the cards tested on the 4 psus in 2 pcs, no change. on the other hand. we had 2 pascal cards in the house and 1 turing and 3 amperes. what they all had in commen? zero coilwhine at all.i dont know what changed in manufacturing
