Biffy Clyro are genuinely one of the most underrated bands ever. Been a fan for ages and I still don’t think they get the recognition they deserve. To me this song is a perfect mix of their old and new styles (the heavier and the poppier) however as well in their old music they had some screaming as well. Mon the Biff forever. I goddamn love this band 🤘

@@SirBelmerD I think it could sorta ruin the appeal if they became a hugely popular band, they have their own ‘niche’ and don’t need to worry about what the mainstream fans are wanting

This song for me takes all the best elements of their Vertigo Of Bliss record (I can hear elements of Diary Of Always, Bodies In Flight and A Man Of His Appalling Posture in there) and put it into a 6 minute track… masterpiece.

Biffy never disappoints. I heard a new band today called Amongst Liars that really of reminds me of their heavier side.
I really enjoyed this, it was very similar to my initial reaction of this song.

@@SteveOGRock No worries man, yh one of my favourites, biffy are very near the top too. I'd give the band Thornhill a listen if you get the chance mate, a brilliant band from Australia. Views from the sun is my favourite, but where we go when we die is unreal too.
This is the first of your videos that I have seen... and it was great. Good to see a nice genuine reaction backed up by music knowledge!
Now, here's my obligatory request for you to react to the band Cardiacs! haha (I've asked a lot of people to no avail really).
Have you heard of them? They were a band that existed in various forms from the late 70s through to the mid 2000s! Their sound is sometimes described as prog-punk (pronk!), but really their sound covers more ground that that would suggest. Very inventive musically, and usually uterly joyful to listen to (which I think turns off some 'music fans' who can't stand levity in any of their music collection... everything has to be dead serious for them! haha).
Track suggesction... hmmm... there's so many!

That’d be really interesting. The Cardiacs are quite an eye opening experience. They aren’t not for everyone but I think a lot of people would enjoy learning about the music behind their chaos!
@@dougbond10 Yeah... the three tracks I've suggested I thought are quite good introductory tracks.... great, but nothing too hectic! haha. I always think it can backfire if you try to introduce Cardiacs to someone with their track Tarred & Feathered, it can turn people off, and they end up missing out!
I have good news and bad news!
The good news is I did a reaction video for their track “Bellyeye”. The bad news is I fat-fingered it and didn’t actually hit record… absolute face palm moment. I’m not one for faking a first time reaction if I’ve already heard the song so I’m afraid that one is now lost forever. BUT what I can say is that it was a totally batshit crazy song lol. So many key changes and madness instrumentally. It was really quite an experience. I enjoyed it, but it was absolutely insane haha.
Maybe I’ll try again with one of the other tracks.
@@SteveOGRock Oh well... at least you had the experience! If you go for one of the other two, my choice would be WIll Bleed Amen. The track is about 4minutes 40seconds, but you'll find most uploads on TH-cam are over 7 minutes but that's simply because they have left the secret track at the end of the album in the audio file. So if you do check it out, the track ends when it sounds like it does so you can stop playback there without worrying that you're missing anything.
4:08 Saves any interviewer asking what his vocal style is. Really hoping for an Empire State Bastard song to be released soon, Simon singing extreme metal with having fully mastered his early days screams? Hell yes.
So many guitar changes, sometimes Biffy will have a lot of changes like that. Reminds me in a way of what Iron Maiden does as well.
