This has to be the most underrated band ever, fantastic vocals and lyrics... great musicians. I've followed this band through thick and thin and have seen them live many times over the years. The world needs a whole lot more of FM
I was at the Reading festival in 1987 and they were playing there while a big group of guys in one area, over to the right and a distance out if facing the stage, were throwing plastic bottles at each other, generally being jerks really, creating a constant back-and-forth hail of flying bottles at each other up in the air way above their heads. A few people started pelting FM on the stage with those plastic bottles. The singer got pissed off, understandably, and in between songs said "hey, why don't you join those guys over there?," meaning the lot throwing bottles non-stop at each other,"they're having a hell of a time."
Man those were the days and that was probably the best music the world has ever listened to...!!!I wish we could return somehow to that wonderful era full of emotions and meanings...
I saw FM way back when supporting Gary Moore......, Brilliant ! I went out the following weekend and bought " Indiscreet ".....it was an awesome album, its a shame they never really took off.
This band has produced perfectly crafted music since 1986: awesome melodies, infectious rhytms atop a unique unbeaten voice.. so I wonder why aren't they popular as U2, BonJovi, GunsnRoses, RollingStones, Beatles(!),.. ?
I agree. Steve Overland Chris Overland the whole band are great. They should be #1 worldwide. At least some people like us know about them and love them.
dj m1ch0l4s Amazing! I'd love to meet FM great band one of the best in the world. That sounds really cool. Were they doing new songs or old ones or both?
I saw them in 2015 in Milan: -only few attendants 300 people :) -the show/tracklist was great.. many songs all the classics + many songs from Heroes&Villains -sound quality was superb considering the small venue -but the best was the aftershow when band members stopped and spent time talking with us ! Search for "Fm live Milan Legend Club" here on youtube
dj m1ch0l4s That sounds absolutely wonderful! I would love to meet FM and they are one of the best bands ever formed. I will search for it and watch it. Thank you for responding to me positively.
Yep, "Other Side of Midnight", "Face to Face" and now "Frozen Heart". There's three songs that should have walked into the "Hit" category in 1986. Indiscreet was/is one of the best albums of the '80s, but it's gone completely ignored.
Takes me back man, great stuff. Went to see them with my mate in Glasgow, as they were walking off he says to the guys don't give up your day job! Harsh I loved these guys!
Love F M saw them twice in concert they were fabulous, still play there music today , also love daryl hall been a fan of his for 30 years he just gets better abd better seen him and John Oates they were ab fab as well , they don't make music like they used to 😊
Anyone remember Wildlife? Saw them support - I think it was MSG - in Nottingham a long, long time ago. It was the first time I had heard Overland's voice and it's still one of a kind. Beautiful.
When I was in radio back in the 80's I used to play the hell out of their songs. This brings back great memories. What a dated video with regards to the style. Does anyone know where I can buy high res copies of their songs?
This has to be one of the best songs of all time, but with one of the worst videos of all time although it's probably someone trying to get playful with a very emotional song. Steve Overland so I heard is the younger of the two Overland brothers him and lead guitarist/co writer with Steve Chris Overland. I came upon FM by chance right after the worst event ever Sept. 11 2001. Yes it was that long ago. That day left me with a frozen heart forever, but this great band it was a week or less later and I stumbled on TOUGH IT OUT. The album I didn't even look carefully at I was 25 I only had by chance picked up Wildfire their previous band and on the back cover there are the Overland brothers. I put it on. I was hooked. I had to grab everything I could by FM.. I listened to them amazed. So much quality and so little huge success that leaves me with a frozen heart. FM are perfect melodic music. I miss melodies and soulful voices. Where is Daryl Hall who Steve Overland sounds a bit like. For a spot on reference Steve Overland's vocals are so perfect that his equal is Steve Winwood. Take that one FM haters! Two greatest evers there Stevie Overland Stevie Winwood.
Love your post Benjamin.....great song...shocker of a video.....and as for Daryl Hall...if you are not regularly visiting..livefromdarylshouse.com.....you need to
Trevor D I will follow it thanks for the advice and glad you agree about this great song and pathetic excuse for a video. Fake snowflakes and everything else. Falling down a flight of stairs. It's silly, and the song really speaks for itself. I love FM.
I saw them blow Magnum off the stage at Ipswich in 86. That was the night that Magnum got all pissy and tried to stop them getting a proper sound check (was it because they were going down too well?)
This has to be the most underrated band ever, fantastic vocals and lyrics... great musicians.

Steve Overland's voice is beyond amazing on this track
Seen these live a few times in Nottingham. First being with GUN the next being American aor band DRIVE SHE SAID. Bring back thise days. Real music.

The Best AOR
80s breaking up song, a rare uncovered music classic.
Anyone remember Wildlife? Saw them support - I think it was MSG - in Nottingham a long, long time ago. It was the first time I had heard Overland's voice and it's still one of a kind. Beautiful.

This band is from England. You're probably talkin' 'bout the Canadian one since this band hasn't any song named Phasers On Stun. :)
Indiscreet great album
