The most underrated band of all time
RIP... Chris Overland thanks for your greats AOR songs.
RIP? He's still very much alive.
It is a travesty that Steve Overland is not recognised wider than the people 'who know' as such a great singer / songwriter.....more respect please for one of our own, who is right up there with the best this country has produced in the last 50 years.
Still sounded great 3 nights ago
I just can't help it when it comes to FM..!
FM in their own league playing Melodic Hard Rock like noone ever conceived, period.
Powerful songwriting combined with excellent vocal melody lines.. exceptional music production emphasising on the dynamics of an incredibly talented band.. I'm so proud getting to meet You guys when you came here in Athens back in '17.
Thank You for making the music of our dreams..
#MONO_FM (which stands for Only_FM)
Some of the greatest AOR songs of the 80's came from the mind and pen of Chris Overland can't believe he's gone 😢
How was this song never a hit here in the USA in the late 1980s? So well crafted, so catchy, radio ready and friendly, sing-a-long build up, excellent singing.
One of the Greatest Rock Bands ever !
Amazing and Steves voice hasnt changed at all, love the mullets ❤️
Voice of the 80’s
34 year old and this song is still amazing
Yep👍
36 years a fan . Brilliant then . Brilliant know
Tough it out ,great album, 1989 can't believe how time goes,
Awesome to see Steve and his talented brother together. Best UK rock band EVER. Jim is awesome on guitar since joining FM.
Seen FM several times over the last 30 something years, the best rock band bar none! I can't believe why they weren't massive??
You're lucky you. Someone was asking me recently how come they didn't make it bigger than they did or have more success. And all I can figure is that something to do with not knowing the right people in the industry or not having a good promoter or maybe some combination of things like that. Because I mean the music itself is just too good to have them be a relatively obscure band. At the same time they're sort of cult following in comparison to what they could have had is kind of nice in a way.
Amazing, you are so right ! Saw them live at London Astoria…1989 maybe?…I was living/working in London back then and just had to go to the concert , Charing Cross road like Glastonbury that night …omg and What a gig ! These guys have deserved every bit of recognition they have ever strived towards !
Chris Overland RIP will always remember🎸🎸
RIP? That's something you say "after" someone has passed away. Last I heard Chris is still very much with us.
@johnoliver533 he passed, he lives 3 doors down from me
Stunning, greetings from Argentina 2024
Seeing these tonight!!! 🤘🤘🤘
What a beautiful voice..discovering how brilliant this band is!!
Magical, timeless, sublime AOR
Still magic
Wow! Love this! ❤️🔥
I love everything about this song forever 💯❤🎸😎😍
The best band on UK bass and drums perfectly coordination my love for you ♥️♥️🎶♥️
Takes me back to 1993 at that time was wondering what man was performing that perfect drums jaja!! love FM
Thank you for scaring kids with your music that makes me so happy after when I'm mad at grown-ups.😊
Love FM band ❤
Que banda espetacular, anos 80 tudo de bom
TALENTO Y MAS TALENTO.14/02/23
Electric guitar player's paradise
Also Digg Digital on keyboards... 👏🏻 the whole band has way more stage presence than they had in 86 and even that was pretty good
Great song 🤟
2021💪🎤🎶🎶🎶😎
Rip Chris 😢

Lyrics
Oh, yeah
There's a cry from the street in the dead of night
A cold empty feeling, losing the fight
You give till it hurts, you don't know why
In the name of love, you kiss your heart goodbye
All my life
I've been waiting for this time to come
It's been a long hard fight
'Cos my heart's been under the gun
I've had bad luck finding a lover
Bad luck keeping the love I found
Bad luck over and over
But tonight your eyes say
You're gonna turn my luck around
Oh, when it comes to love, I heard you wrote the book
Broke all the rules, that's the chance I took
Your body's talking, I hear what you say
Am I the loser in this game we play
All my life
I've been waiting for this time to come
It's been a long hard fight
'Cos my heart's been under the gun
I've had bad luck finding a lover
Bad luck keeping the love I found
Bad luck over and over
But tonight your eyes say
You're gonna turn my luck around
I've had nothing but bad luck
It just follows me around
All my life
All my life
I've been waiting for this time to come
It's been a long hard fight
'Cos my heart's been under the gun
I've had bad luck finding a lover
Bad luck keeping the love I found
Bad luck over and over
I've had bad luck, just a little too much
Bad luck finding a lover
Bad luck keeping the love I found
(Keeping the love)
Bad luck over and over
Baby, you can kiss your heart goodbye
Bad luck finding a lover
Bad luck, too much!
Bad luck over and over
Baby, I can see it in your eyes
Could you make a concert in Madrid? That would be AWESOME! Thank you.
Hey guys, time to release Takin’ It To The Streets 30 this year 😉. Would love to hear that album with a current kick ass sound!
Ferissima 👊🏻🤛🤜👊🏻
💜💜💜
Let's get Desmond Child in, we'll be HUGE. Oh, hang on. Brilliant track anyway, from a brilliant album. The ebst band that never made it big.
Right but at least now they've achieved a bit more fame with the 2007 reunion
saw them at folkestone along with romeos daughter. awesum
Love you so much. Greatest AOR band ever. OZZY sucks ;-)
FM should have been so huuuge ! Luckily they're gaining some moderate success in these last years :)
Why did no one tell me they woz in Nantwich?
They are very talented. Only reasonI could think that they didn’t have the success they should have had was the record execs didn’t want to promote them out to the public because it was the late 80s and that sound was on its way out and in with the grunge crap. Greedy record execs killed the 80s sound by paying off bands millions to change their tune and be done with the 80s sound everyone loved so much. Such a shame.
Oversaturation happens but the alternative sound that they tried to box into the label called grunge was around in the 80s.
Grunge replaced this???...
Take me Back.....
Take me back....
British version of Bon Jovi in a way, and this song has elements of You Give Love A Bad Name in the main riff and chorus, and other synth bits in the M8.
they wrote it with the same songwriter as you give love a bad name, the label wanted them to push over here as the uk bon jovi
what? it doesnt sound like You Give Love a Bad Name... you can even say it is slightly closer to Vinnie Vincent - that time of year. but not Bon Jovis.
+++
English bon Jovi
Sorry but they are much better than Bon Jovi.
Producer Probly made this sound like Bon Jovi.
horrible quality
Rescued from an old videotape recorded off the TV... it's just nice to have the footage. :-)
@@Fmofficial Agreed. I'm guessing the master tape can no longer be accessed so it's good we at least get to see the video again. What a fantastic song too :-)
Dude, it’s from 1989 recorded from TV, what did you expect?
@@Fmofficial But It's MTV Version. I know about second version of this video (with street walking, car driving & beer drinking in Marquee).
@@metalwolf1978 As mentioned in the description... it's an alternative edit! We also have the other edit here on our channel but youtube went through a phase of downgrading older videos a few years ago so the viewing quality on that one is not so great anymore.
Horrible noise.
Go to hell.
