Mariam Khan incorrect. allah told us in the quran that we have to obey the messenger. do you think allah will command us with something and leave us no manner to fulfill that command? allah also said the prophet came to teach two things. book and wisdom (kitab wa hikmah) they have both been preserved ٱلْـحَـمْـدُ لِلّٰه

if you use your religion as political tool does not matter if you are sunni wahabi shia you lost your iman already. But mostly shia and wahabies use islam as a tool. Of course there are tons of sinciere ordinary missguieded muslims who follow these sects blindly without realizing it they are my muslim brothers and sisters . But who intentionally use islam as a political tool as Iran government and Saudi govern. wallahi they are biggest munafigs.

@a a We cannot bring changes to Islam. The words of God from Quran is not going to change anyways. Neither will the ahadith. So, we should aim to understand as many of them as possible to make sure we do not get manipulated by such wrong ideologies. In my experience, when you read one of the good Tafseers of Quran - you pretty much can get the idea when someone is twisting the words.

Chapter: On Schism (فرقة), the Difference Between Creed (العقيدة) and Faith (الإيمان). And their links to the All-Denominationists (الجماعة).
The authentic hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) when he mentioned that the Jews were divided into 71 sects, and the Christians were divided into 72 sects, and that we would be divided into 73 sects, and all of them will be in Hell-fire except one (كلهم في النار إلّا واحد), is of great importance. Those who "unify" all groups even though they are divided in their diversity of schools of thoughts, are going to the many doors of Paradise, the doors that mentions They all have different Creeds (عقيدة) to which they reach the truth, individually. Thus, Allaah Will Declare on the Day of Judgment:
    [5 : 119].
The truthfulness (صِدق) will save a person, even though they might have a difference of opinion from others which shapes their Creed (عقيدة). And individualistic Creeds are subjective. Thus, the truthfulness of a person will be saved objectively with His (سبحانه وتعالى) Justice, and a hypocrite will be punished by chastity for turning away from the truth.
The saved sect is the sect that unifies all sects (الجماعة) of Al-Islam, and are brothers even without the metaphor of the same bloodline, similar as to in similitude to the brotherhood of all the companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله), who were unified in hearts, even though they each had diversity of thoughts. A person preserves his own truth (عقيدة), but Faith (الإيمان) preserves all of those who preserve their own individual truths. Al-Jamaa'a (الجماعة) are the All-Denominationists, who do not exclude from Al-Islam anyone that has declared [لا إله الا الله محمد رسول الله], but distinguish by distinction their ranks according to the level of consciousness of Allaah (التقوي الله) to which Allaah Says:
    یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرࣲ وَأُنثَىٰ ،،، إِنَّ أَكۡرَمَكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتۡقَىٰكُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِیمٌ خَبِیرࣱ - [13 : 49]
Thus, they include everyone in the community, and don't leave anyone behind or in exile (except for the expiation for major sins). Therewith, Faith unites us in our commonality, and our personalities separate us individually, just like the community (الجماعة) of the companions of the Prophet.
Ahl-Al-Hadeeth (those that study the hadith literature) and the analogy with their separation with other groups: is akin to saying they aren't Ahl-Al-Fiqh or other categories of knowledge such as those that study the knowledge of the Quran (Ahl-Al-Qur'an). Indeed, verifiably, the Ahl-Al-Hadeeth are certainly Ahl-Al-Quran and Ahl-Al-Fiqh. Each group rejoices on their separation from other groups instead of conjoining all groups, including the Ahl-Al-Bayt and Ahl-Al-Tashi'e (the Shia) whose fiqh is through Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq.
All of us should come together as union of all of multiple groups (الجماعة إجمعة), and unite. And let not our marriages, or correlation, between each knowledge (and groups) separate us, just as akin to the Shiyaateen (devils) separating the union between a man and his wife.
As a word can have more than one meaning, a sentence can have many interpretations, and the sentences which were descended to us by the Prophet Muhammad (ص) were indeed of many interpretations. To example, a person can say a word has only one meaning, yet another person can say he has another meaning to the same word, even though the word has two meanings, to which the two people quarreled and became Separatists.
Akin to this analogy of our separation, we should allow and respect other schools of thoughts and their scholars' understanding of the ahaadith and the Magnificence of the Holy Quran, to which this would make us all unite together, first within ourselves, and then to other schools of thoughts.
Our separations have given us of no value, but our unions will give us great value, to which the Pleasure of Allaah will descend unto this Earth. Instead of pleasing ourselves and our groups, we should know what Pleases Allaah, that is our unification and discipline (through the last Prophet Muhammad [ص]).
Ahl-Al-Hadeeth were people that preserved the prophetic traditions, and were those that separated themselves from the Ahl-Al-Rai (people of opinions). This was a term coined by Imam Malik when he had trouble with the people who came new to Islam and had philosophical views. He separated the traditionalist with the philosophers, especially of Greek and Persian origin. Imam Abu Haneefa also did embrace this term (Ahl-Al-Hadeeth) when dealing with atheists and hindu pundits and philosophers, who were either new Muslims or debaters. But he Imam Abu Haneefa didn't coin it (Imam Malik did).
In my subjective nurture and not by my objective nature, the people of Hadeeth (أصحاب الحديث) in my opinion are the closest to Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), as long as they keep unity between the classification of other groups and other methodologies, and oblige by respect and by recognition to different understandings of the Prophet Traditions (أحاديث). If they do separate from other groups, they are making a huge mistake, because Hadith literature, along with the Speech of Allaah, are the basic foundation of our religion and obedience to Allaah The Almighty.

Read Sheikh Albani Rahimahullah's book Prophet's prayer theres a section on how the 4 mathhabs on how they all said we are a means to the sunnah if we miss a point go with the hadith we missed in the right context. nowadays sufis use mathhabs to push bida as there work isn't widespread but there name it, and this divides.
when a Muslim is lied to on Quran or Sunnah by a non Muslim we have the Quran and Sunnah with us infront of us to verify but why do we not have a mathhab book when an imam lies or says something on Islam? Is there more verifiability with non Muslim, or transparency and academci respect with them? This is a vulnerability not in Islam (Quran 12,108), Islam is perfect and the 4 mathhabs said return to Quran and Sunnah we are just a means so why do sufi imams block the way to unity on Quran and Sunnah in the name of mathhabs? this is sufis acting like the preists do with the bible as its corrupt, our scripture is not corrupt, let ppl understand it in the right context as the 4 mathhabs you quote say to do!
Why not act like Muslims and unite on Quran and Sunnah directly oh ignorant sufis who block the way to Quran unlike the mathhabs teach and act cultishly? this si why the ummah is divded because of bida! When we say Muhammadur RAsulalah it means our isand ends with Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings on him and that is what the 4 mathhabs taught, don't block the way to the Sunnah in their name like priests do with the corrupted bible! If you are scared ppl may take a verse out of context, guess what thats why the sahabas RAdiyallahu anhum taught tafsir instead of you teaching bida teach that!

I recommend the book Prophet's prayer by sheikh Albani, the pdf is easy to read!

Anzara Arden What about pakistan where there’s over a million kusre (transvestites)? Where people go and worship graves and crime is rampant. What about Iran where Sunni Muslims are treated like second class citizens? What about turkey where the hijab was banned for a period of time and western ideals were replacing Islamic ones? You point fingers at Saudi when it is among some of them best places for a Muslim to live. Where Islam is practiced freely and knowledge of Quran and sunnah thrives. Of course Saudi is not perfect but before you point fingers , look at other countries. Saudi is a land of tawhid. The Hadith about Najd was referring to Iraq as mentioned by the scholars of Hadith. Don’t try to twist Hadith out of context , to suit your narrative. All you people do is blame others but you have no proof of your claims. Just conspiracy theories. Be sincere. May Allah guide me and you.

Based on a parallel (Mutawatir) tradition upon whose authenticity all Muslims agree, the Messenger of Allah (S) informed his followers in several occasions that he would leave them two precious/weighty things and that if Muslims adhere to both of them, they will never go astray after him. They are the Book of Allah (Qur’an) and the Members of the House of the Prophet (Ahlul-Bayt), peace be upon them all.
It is narrated in Sahih Muslim as well as many other sources that:
Someday (after his last pilgrimage) the Messenger of Allah (S) stood to give us a speech beside a pond which is known as Khum (Ghadir Khum) which is located between Mecca and Medina. Then he praised Allah and reminded Him, and then said: "O’ people! Behold! It seems the time approached when I shall be called away (by Allah) and I shall answer that call. Behold! I am leaving for you two precious things. First of them is the book of Allah in which there is light and guidance...The other one is my Ahlul-Bayt. I remind you in the name of Allah about my Ahlul-Bayt. I remind you in the name of Allah about my Ahlul-Bayt. I remind you in the name of Allah about my Ahlul-Bayt. (three times)."

Their is nothing wrong by calling yourself a salafi as the scholars said in this day and age their are alot of deviant sects amongst us so you must diferinsiate from other sects, follow your aqidah (belief) and (manhaj) must be according to the salaf. At the time of prophet Muhammad pbuh they were no sects so it was the norm to call yourself a Muslim but now you have to be clear what methodology you follow by calling yourself salafi or ahl ul hadeeth. Which is the correct methodology and aqidah is the way of the salaf or ahl ul hadeeth.

Mohammed ibn Abdul Wahhab was an 18th-century Muslim revivalist and theological innovator who believed that Muslims had strayed from the true religion of the Prophet and his immediate successors (the salaf). Wahhab condemned holy sites as idolatrous, demanded that Muslim men refuse to trim their beards, banned holiday celebrations and attacked the arts as being dangerously frivolous. Wahhab believed that there was only one true interpretation of Islam - “Salafism” - and all other schools of thought were condemned as heretical. Seen as a dangerous heretic, Wahhab was driven out of the Najd (central Arabia) in 1744 and came under the protection of Mohammed bin Saud, an Arab warlord and founder of the first Saudi-Wahhabi state. Convinced that they were heirs to the successors, al-Saud forces waged war across Arabia and from 1801-4 sacked Najaf, Karbala, Medina, and Mecca destroying tombs and shrines and killing, raping and pillaging all those who resisted. In 1812, the Ottoman Turks drove the Wahhabis out of Mecca and Medina and the al-Saud family were finally defeated.
Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal al-Saud (Ibn Saud) allied with the British in the early 20th century and, after World War I and the destruction of the Ottoman Empire, the al-Saud family were restored to power with the religious sanction of their Wahhabi clerics. Wahhabism became the official religion of Saudi Arabia and was promoted through the schools and mosques of the new state. Financed by oil wealth and allied with the United States, the al-Saud exported their aggressive, intolerant, hypocritical Puritanism to Pakistan, Afghanistan and the rest of the Muslim world.
"We issue the following fatwa to all Muslims. The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies - civilians and military - is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it." Osama bin Laden, “Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders,” 23 February 1998
Bin Laden's 1996 "Declaration of Jihad" against the United States was followed by his second ruling - cosigned by militant Egyptian leader Ayman al-Zawahiri and others - in which he declared the killing of Americans, "civilians and military", to be a religious duty for every Muslim. Since America is a democracy, he preached, then all of its citizens bore responsibility for the actions of the government and since, "they are killing our civilians, occupying our lands ... and they don't spare any of us," then, he said, "why spare any one of them?"
At the heart of Wahhabi extremism, and every act of Wahhabi suicide-murder is the so-called "doctrine of abrogation" whereby Wahhabi clerics (who legitimize the rule of the deeply corrupt al-Saud family regime) arbitrarily declare certain verses of the Quran to be null and void, i.e. "abrogated" by later revealed verses. For example, the key verse, "Yet bear thou with them, and say 'Peace [be upon you]!' - for in time they will come to know [the truth]" (43:89), is declared abrogated in the Saudi-published Noble Quran by verse 9:5. It says in the side note: "The provision of this Verse was abrogated by the revelation of the Verse of fighting against them (V. 9:5)". In verse 9:5 the freely distributed Noble Quran goes on to say: "kill the Mushrikun wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in every ambush. But if they repent [by rejecting shirk (polytheism) and accept Islamic Monotheism]…"
The Quran contains divinely-inspired guidance concerning every aspect of life including some verses relating to conflict and warfare. These and every verse of the Quran must be read and interpreted complementary as a consistent whole. Verses such as, "There shall be no coercion in matters of faith" (2:256), lay down categorically that any attempt at forcible conversion is completely forbidden. The Quran ordains, "fight in God's cause against those who wage war against you; but do not commit aggression, for, verily, God does not love aggressors" (2:190); and, "if they desist, then all hostility shall cease" (2:193); and "if they let you be, and do not make war on you, and offer you peace, God does not allow you to harm them" (4:90).
22:40 For, if God had not enabled people to defend themselves against one another, [all] monasteries and churches and synagogues and mosques - in [all of] which God's name is abundantly extolled - would surely have been destroyed [ere now].
The doctrine of abrogation, that is, the arbitrary procedure of deleting one Quranic passage and replacing it with another, is not based upon any reliable Tradition of the Prophet. There is no unanimity whatever among the upholders of this doctrine as to which, and how many, Quran-verses have been affected by it. None of these "Salafist" clerics can say whether they are calling for a total elimination of the verse in question from the context of the Quran or merely cancelling the divine ordinance contained within it. In short, the Saudi-Wahhabi doctrine of abrogation has no basis whatsoever in historical fact and must - along with all of the branches of Wahhabi extremism which it fosters - be completely rejected. (The annulment mentioned in verse 2:106 relates to the supersession of the Biblical dispensation by that of the Quran NOT to the abrogation of any part of the Quran by any other part.)
2:85 Do you, then, believe in some parts of the divine writ and deny the truth of other parts? What, then, could be the reward of those among you who do such things but ignominy in the life of this world and, on the Day of Resurrection, commitment to most grievous suffering? For God is not unmindful of what you do.

It's true but people can misunderstand some things from the religion , so to follow the true Islam we have to understand it the way the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم and his companies رضي الله عنهم and then their followers understand it ,that's call salafiya which means following Islam the true way , without adding or cutting

But we shouldn't call us salafiya.. we know salafiya means. Hanafi means not that they are followers of hanafi r. When follow sahaba just follow sahaba's way. No need to tell we salafi . If we do so, after someday it will create a new sector.. Just use we are Muslim & follows kuran sunnah.. no need to tell salafiya.. my opinion or it will make a new group someday.. just see the example in this video , non muslim brother is confused by salafiya and other group .. it should not be happened..
