How to Move VM Workload to GKE Container-Migrate to container -Anthos

Anthos is an open-source application platform that allows you to modernize your current applications on your hybrid or multi-cloud environment. You can securely build and run VMs anywhere. Anthos is based on open-source technologies that Google pioneered, including Kubernetes, Istio, and Knative. It ensures consistency between on-premises and cloud environments.
When workloads are upgraded to containers, IT departments can do away with OS-level maintenance and security patching for VMs. Policy and security updates can also be automated at scale. Monitoring is done through a single interface in the Cloud Console, which covers both on-premises and cloud environments.
"Migrate to Containers" is an almost real-time solution where an existing VM can be made available as a Kubernetes hosted pod with all the values associated with executing your applications in a Kubernetes cluster.
