    There was either a lot of extra length in that axel or that was a different rod. Satisfied with the work overall as long as it fits. Thanks for sharing.

    Can't most of you see that the end plate and the shaft were not originally together. He selected a piece of shaft long enough for the job after machining.

Ty následně odbrousit a teprve potom nahřát do červena kyslíko-acetylenovým plamenem a následně svařit díly k sobě.

    На раскручивание может оторвать, у меня такое было. Потом сделал три отверстия с внешнего торца, наполовину во флянец и в ось, запресовал 3 стальных штифта и потом обварил и обточил. Ходит до сиих пор. И полуось стала короче.

      The only way to correctly carry out a repair of this shaft, is to heat to a ginger color, read a magazine, re-heat and spray liberally with peroxide blonde to temper to a (natural) state, then when the diff gets a pounding that will break.

      @@johncollins2037 Ho fatto un commento breve, su altri mi sono dilungato. Ci sono tantissimi video dove riparano semiassi. In alcuni fanno saldature alla radice, in altri forano i due monconi inserendo un perno e poi saldano. Il risultato è che gli riescono storti e fragili.
      Il mio commento era riferito a questo, come ho scritto, ovvero che tra tutte questa è la migliore che ho visto. Sanno benissimo che non dureranno molto, ma almeno questa può lavorare e durare un certo tempo. Ho aggiunto che se avesse avuto l'azoto liquido poteva fare un giunto ad attrito )invece che una filettatura). Fanno riparazioni super economiche, non stanno certo a guardare le proprietà dei metalli e la riparazione in questo video almeno non le altera completamente, le saldature sono solo per evitare che lavori solo la filettatura (che non potrebbe reggere). Se guarda alcuni video riparano denti di ingranaggi con la saldatura e poi li sagomano con la mola a mano, in confronto questa riparazione è alta tecnologia!

    The axle appears to have been shortened about the same length as the splines.

    • @hasturm1232
      @hasturm1232 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Seems a frankestain work, surely are two different parts, from two... a brand new. If you see, the axle was used as "ariete" as hammer, the head was "pushed", surely was longer than the original. The rim was too old and ruined to be the same part of the axle.

    • @hasturm1232
      @hasturm1232 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Second option: he simply showing "how to make a good job". This metal is a special metal, in other videos of other people, they makes a "core welding"...it can resist a week because the ardened axle, after welding, becomes a mix of glass and butter 😂 in the joint. If you make an "extention" as this work, is the best performing work, only a welding to avoid the part rotation. I think if he could have use a liquid nitrogen he could frost the axle and heat up the rim obtaining a "friction joint", but they make the possible whit their limited resources.

    • @alcides38ph
      @alcides38ph ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hasturm1232 está bien que al iniciar una perforación con una broca tan grande tenga un ángulo de incidencia alto(o bajo) porque no se hace tan duro la metida de la broca. Eso hace que vibre al iniciar. Pero si es para una segunda pasada de broca más grande, sí y solo sí debe tener un ángulo casi cero (digamos unos dos o tres grados de incidencia) porque si no el hueco queda ovalado.
