My wife and I loved Elvis and saw him in person in Houston late in his career. Our mothers were with us and we had a once in a lifetime thrill. This video shows his charisma and unreal voice. He was also incredibly handsome as anyone can tell you who is being honest. My wife admitted she thought Elvis was the handsomest man ever and she said I was second. Nice of her to say, but I think she was flattering me. She passed away 5 years ago after 45 wonderful years together. I am 79 and plan to meet up with her again soon. God bless everyone.
I’m the biggest Beatles fan, classic rock , stones , zep, plus hard rock gnr , Bon Jovi , all types Steve wonder list go’s forever, but ELVIS 😢 started it all he was the the king , before Elvis now I could be wrong, but when he started we were blessed with rock & roll
He is so mesmerizing and captivating. Just authentic. No choreography, his body just felt the music and moved, he was just so magnetic and pure. His voice his music was pure and true, it literally was birthed from his soul❤️
This is one of the very best songs by Elvis with his grand trio, Billy, D.J., and Scotty strengthend by Mike Stoller on the piano. Oh how great you were.
Elvis is the only one that could pull off wearing a sweater on a resort in the summer, if that's not cool, I don't know what else is. Elvis is the best that ever touch a microphone period. Ooh yeah and the coolest. Lol.
@@MeadeSkeltonMusic Awesome Point. I agree 100%. To be able to sing is a special talent. And you are right. There are more great musicians out there then singers.

His talent then ( at the fairgrounds) must have been evident, he was all some of my classmates were talking about. Didn't take long for me to understand, to the tunes Hound Dog, Don't be Cruel and Love me Tender. I'm 79, lifetime fan! I never did care for the karate moves he haf on stage, just didn't match the music. Much preferred Elvis' pelvis moves. One of a kind. Elvis Presley. And to think, he was a twin!
LISTEN TO THIS ON HEADPHONES. This an excellent Binaural 2-Track recording meant to be heard through HEADPHONES. That's what makes this mix special - it's not a "stereo mix" - it was recorded from the center outwards - you are hearing what ELVIS heard when the band played. Put on the phones - listen to what Elvis' right ear heard from the band on the right. Left channel is what he was hearing from the band on the left. AND YOU ARE ELVIS. No overdubs - YOU ARE ELVIS LIVE! Don't miss out!
The moves - He may not have been a trained dancer, but he has the moves. With just a flick, a twitch or a glance, he injects so much style and smooth emotion, he puts all dancers anywhere near him to shame.
I have NEVER understood how come the audience just SITS THERE when this great tune is playing. After 50 years of hearing this song, I still can NOT sit still whenever I hear it!!!!!
As I sit here on 8-16-23, the anniversary of his death, I thought it would be fitting to rewatch my favorite song in a movie scene. The talent, the charisma, the style - RIP, Mr. Presley.
Happy Heavenly 89th Birthday Elvis, first time I saw him in 1957 when I was 7 movie: Jailhouse Rock oh that Handsome Man on the Big Screen! RIParadise🌈💐🎸🎵♥️😘🙏🏼⭐️🎤🎬📺
He could act, he could dance, Elvis the greatest forever. It almost hurts to look at him. He was beyond handsome. I think he was just 22 in this movie. He did a good job. Lookup jailhouse rock and watch him dance. We don't mess with the king.
Jailhouse Rock had some of his Best songs in it. This is one of them "You're So Square" along with "Young and Beautiful" & "Treat Me Nice" and more .... Those were his best songs, in the 50's & early 60's.
Love this song. I watched this movie jail rock .. loved it!! Greatest actor and wonderful voice and gorgeous.. love you Elvis Presley forever R.I.P. ❤️🙏🤴🎤🎵🎼🎶
Elvis must be the only person who can wear a woolly jumper whilst singing at a barbecue and no one seems to notice cause he’s so cool! Listening in 2024 and can’t believe this song is nearly 70 years old and still sounds wonderful. Elvis certainly left us with great music to enjoy to which we all thank him for.
God must have added something extra special to Tupelo water & air because two of the greatest singers ever were born there, Elvis born in 1935 & Gospel great Lee Williams of Lee & the spiritual QC’s born in 1946 were so unique & amazing, I saw a Lee Williams interview were he acknowledged Elvis as a great artist ♥️ such respect and well deserved … if you like Gospel they both have great Gospel & passion for singing praises to the God that blessed them 🥰 makes my 60 yr old heart melt 🤗😍
This is one of the rare occasions where Elvis' actual band appears onscreen, too! In the background you see Bill Black on the uright bass (Elvis played the electric bass on this song's actual recording) Scotty Moore on guitar (notice how Scotty is wearing sunglasses in the long shots, that "magically" disappear in the closer shots) and DJ Fontana on drums. I'm not sure who that is on piano, but Bill and Scotty were with Elvis from the very beginning, and play on "Thats Alright Mama." Sadly, theyre all gone now but the Rock 'N' Roll they invented will live on forever!
was a teen in the 50s ,just a great time for this old Elvis stuff . Learnt to play all his old sun stuff . Still jam along to his u tube songs . Play Cochrane /Buddy . Wonderful memories of local jive clubs .
This is on the flipside of Jail House rock. I had given me as a kid, and i couldnt stop playing it.Well done for putting it on you tube, you have bought back many happy memories.
Its a bit difficult to listen to anything else after hearing this. This is Top of the top. I'll keep trying though because sometimes something gets close, but not that often.
Amazing thing is you know I grew up in the late 80s and early 90s thinking Big Black, Butthole Surfers, Pixies and Nirvana were fucking rock and roll. But I come back to Elvis. What a great song. Taut, sexy, perfect.
Elvis Presley was the greatest entertainer of the 20th Centery, their will never ever be anyone like him. Michael Jackson was good but he was NO Elvis. Rip Elvis hope I meet you one day in the stars.xx

I saw this when I was 13 fell in love and loved him ever since. Born in post war England where everything was grey and dull until Rock'n'Roll, almost overnight, changed our teenage lives from dour to fabulous.
I have listen to rock´n roll music since 1957 when Iwas ten. I judge this song interpreted by Elvis beeing one of the five best rock´n roll records ever made. One of my freinds actually saw Elvis during his military service 1958 i Frankfurt am Main, Western Germany at that time, driving a white BMW.

This was the first time that a performer improvised playing of an instrument in a recording session. Elvis was forced to play the bass guitar because Bill Black got frustrated when he was trying to record his part.
This is probably my favorite Elvis video. He is the cool king of rock.
Elvis didn't feel the music. He didn't pretend to feel the music. He WAS the music.
Yes, indeed!
This is Elvis at his best.Pure smooth;pure cool.
22 years old, great hair, amazing shoes, and all the swagger.

Elvis is playing bass on this record. He's never been a virtuoso as an instrumentalist but what a feeling he had for everything about music!
Is he really playing bass on this. If so he is great. I guess he really can do more then just sing.
