    How have you found the changes? I was surprised with the BSV, as you can probably see with my gameplay at the start and end, I haven't been having issues with it

      @@S1ckbag I haven't found any significant difference myself, though I sure that recoil bug does affect aiming in some way. I might look into that more

    Thnak you for the great video, i just played this season once, when i noticed the changes in visual recoil which bothers me a lot especially i used vcar a lot. i hate this kind of trick my eye recoil system and i think i will miss the season 6 a lot. EA always are great when not listneing to other pros about needed changes and still make unwanted changes.

      I'm pretty sure the VCAR will be changed. Prior to S7 I pointed out the M5A3 visual recoil differences looked excessive for me from the s7 trailer. It wasn't like that at release, I was told they don't want weapons to be that different. The VCAR is even worse than this, I'm sure it will be reduced.

    Wow. I knew it was terrible, but good grief, that's bad. I'm guessing I never noticed since I look at what I am shooting at and don't pay much attention to the reticle most of the time. My friend @MapHacker pointed it out to me when using the PP-29. At first, I thought it was just the SMGs, and maybe they added it because they wanted them used more for close quarters, with more hip-fire. IDK. That was really great info. This will help a lot of players understand what's going on. Thank you for your hard work. Cheers 🍻

      I've had issues with my capture card of late, I originally had footage to include 2 more smg's but it was corrupted when i went to use it. I feel the visual recoil isn't just there to make guns feel more punchy. I personally feel its to artificially increase the ttk. Thanks for watching Jake

      The first thing I tested in S7 was my beloved PP29 and immediately knew something was way off. Unfortunately, I game on a 4k TV, so no built-in crosshair. MP9 feels fine, and back to its former glory with the HS multiplier.

    Great video. I had to chuckle I just T1d the BSV last night and didn't really notice much difference. Used the VCAR for a bit of TDM today and did pretty well with it, but did fail to complete a few long range spammy attempts on moving targets.

      The BSV really surprised me, I wasn't expecting it to be one of the worst ones I tested. I have been flat out using it and feel no difference. TDM does tend to be more close quarters, I have a friend that loves the VCAR, 20k kills with it and he's hating it right now. I do think it will be toned down a bit in a future update.       @@SMKGAMING I feel like maybe we're oblivious, or else it's really only noticeable on long sustained fire which I only do with the Val when hipfiring or honestly with other weapons with larger magazines, esp when just screwing around. Or covering a lane on redacted etc. Either way, I will definitely think about it and observe when I play later tonight.

    The gun designer for the M5A3, SFAR, AVANCYS, PKP called in sick on visual recoil implementation day.

      Well there is some more gun jitter on the AR'S compared to before. I did do some analysis of the M5A3 from the season 7 trailer and there was crosshair deviation on that version which I pointed out to the dev about. He said he would look at it. It wasn't there at release as shown here so changes were made. But the PKP is exactly the same, no difference at all.

    Definitely noticed the PP was messed up. Didn't know if it was hit reg this bug or a combo of both. Even trying to tap fire at range with some weapons are off, so most likely, this is what's causing it.
    Feels like the thermal scopes may be affected by this, or did they just add more VR to make them less effective?

      It is, if you put a crosshair with your monitor you'll suddently start hitting your shots easily. It's the same gun, just the visual recoil makes it "bad"

      Yeah at range the visual recoil and the dot movement could mess up things for you. Sometimes VR is added to make guns less effect at ranges they were not intended to be used at or to increase the ttk

    Hey! May I ask how you displayed the center of the screen? (been working on shenanigans that do not even work that well)
    It's a great video, might feel short, but it's fully packed with tons of valuable insights into the changes, can tell it took a while to get this quality as to sum it up in a few lines

      Hey, that was edited on when I was making the video. If you play on a monitor however some of them have crosshairs in the settings that allow you to put one on your screen. Some can be awful and too big, others are dots like I have shown here. I appreciate the kind words. Video took a while to make

    Good morning friend, first of all I want to congratulate you on your beautiful work. Now I'd like a tip, I'm enjoying the new map, especially for playing with an LMG that's a little further back, with 2.5x and 3x sights, now I'd like to know what's the best LMG to play with these 2.5x and 3x sights? , or in this case the least worst. thanks.

      I was standing up while firing here when using these weapons so the recoil will be harder to control, it you are crouched or prone it will be easier during sustained fire. The Avancys and the PKP are probably the most popular to use, that is why I demonstrated using those two. Please be aware that this recoil issue isn't just a LMG issue, it will be on ALL WEAPONS, it just got highlighted more on my testing when using the LMG's because I used a higher magnification scopes.

      @@SMKGAMING I also had the same question as the friend above. I'm playing a lot of LMG on the new refuge map, with 2.5 and 3x aiming, and I also play AVANCY. I'm also unsure what would be the best LMG to use with this scope, but from what I've seen you also recommend either the AVANCY or the PKP.

      Also, if you play as an engineer with an LMG you get an accuracy buff when crouched or prone over other classes. Worth keeping in mind

    This test is a bit easier to do on console . Have you tried doing the something with controller on PC?

      Hey no I didn't, I have done tests in the past with controller on pc and everything is usually like for like. I believe that any visual recoil differences present on controller are supposed to be a bit worse on pc. Well that's what pc players are saying

    That VCAR is awful, I never use it though. What I'm struggling with is input latency at the minute.

      I didn't test that one but my general feeling is that all DMR's need looked at, I think they are the weapons that have the most VR and deviation from center screen

      @@SMKGAMING yup. I mainly use DMR’s, the DM7 in particular and it’s screwed. It feels half as accurate as it use to. No joke.
      DMR’s are no longer viable weapons to use now. What’s the point now, when an auto rifle can out-gun them at pretty much all ranges.
      The changes to recoil are a joke. No one asked for it. They spent months changing it all, probably all giggle and excited with making the changes.
      Just to find no on likes it, it’s broken, and now they’re doing to spend further weeks unpicking it all.
      There are a hundred things they could have spent their time doing - on things people HAVE actually been asking for, ever since release.

    I think it's quite pointless and at first I felt it made me a little motion sick or something like that but nowadays it doesn't have any effect

    What I have noticed is, Aim assist is afficted with using diffferent scopes that you use on your guns. I have niticed this in the last couple of weeks.

      Hey pinkfloyd, aim assist is usually always feels stronger the higher the magnification scope you use, especially if that player is close to you. Particularly the slowdown aim assist

    ONLY SMG weapons has too much deviation, it must be on purpose

      DMR's seem pretty bad also. AR's and LMG's seem good. I originally wanted to test the K30 and PXB also but my recordings from season 6 were corrupted. My general feelings are that those also have deviation like the PP-29

    It's so sad how much better it was in 6.4. Guns don't uncontrollably bounce around like a boat in the ocean that 7.0 displays. If they wanted guns to feel more impactful, then they should have updated the sound to be punchier, not change it to... this. If it's purely cosmetic then I don't know why they don't have an option to turn it off in the settings like we can turn off the updated running camera shake back to default. Maybe because they know players who went back to normal would have an advantage over a player that had it turned on? Disappointing

      Unfortunately I don't ever see VR having an on/off option as it certainly does give those with it off an advantage. To me VR is another way to artificially increase the time to kill. If players are using the red dot as the reference for where their bullets are going and VR desyncs that from center screen, then bullets clearly are not always going where that red dot is and so less bullets hit. The real ttk is therefore higher. Increased spread is another way to increase ttk without adjusting bullets to kill. Now I will admit, the VR changes are not as bad as I first feared, and most of the weapons I tested were not different to before, they simply had more jitter. I don't know why some deviate and others don't.

      I personally feel that there is latency issues recently, not simply hit reg. Throwing grenades, hit reg and other things like reloads are saying they are completed but aren't

      @@SMKGAMINGThere's defo latency issues, but I've played a few games recently on PS5 where I've emptied full mags and multiple bursts into the chest at under 20m, both at bots and live players ...and there's been nothing..... 🤷‍♂

    The whole idea of visual recoil doesn't make any sense. Anybody who's ever played a shooter knows that the bullets go wherever the sight's pointed. Hell, even someone with no gaming or firearm experience can tell you that.
    So why force us to completely ignore our sights whenever we fire off more than one shot at greater ranges? It's just dumb.

      I think we get told many different reasons for why visual recoil is put in games. In my opinion I feel part of the reason is often to try and increase the ttk. If you use the red dot as the reference for where your bullets are going (which should be the case lol), but visual recoil has that red dot off centre for a period of time then it ends up taking more bullets. Therefore the ttk appears higher. Just my thoughts, I've never agreed with visual recoil. Thanks for watching

    EA DICE spent all this time on crap no one wanted and actually dislike but little time on new weapons and maps. movement (which it still clunky and janky), hit registration, vehicles, and all the other things people care about, did I mention hit registration (one of if not the most important aspect in a FPS). It is DEFINITELY DICE and EA makes it worse. Its the people and their priorities and mentality. It will probably never be like it was. Their focus is on chunks of falling snow, penguins. the sound of ice when you shoot it, and Sundance being Non-Binary (and girl bosses girl bosses girl bosses). They consider them selves digital artistes sniffing their own farts with glee!

    Notice every instance of the crosshair leaving the dot is *in between shots*, not at the moment the shots are firing. Any personal gameplay performance change from this is purely placebo/skill issue. Some single shot weapons obviously need to be tweaked, as their actual recoil was messed with, but overall the visual recoil does nothing mechanically to the game. It does not "throw off your aim," and it's not "bad."
    CoD youtubers literally ruined an entire generation of FPS gamers. You guys need to stop with the weird obsession over visual recoil. I would rather the game be satisfying than easy.

      Unless I am directly talking about something pay no attention to anything else around it. I spent hours upon hours testing out various sensitivities with various curves and with USA on and off. I have taken the screenshots for the video at some point during that testing. I was doing all this in between the aim assist series I did. At one point I was playing using the BF1 Curve with USA on and sensitivity set to 100/100. I then moved on to the BFV curve, USA off and 100/200 and adjust each magnification separately. That's what I settled on.

      @@Lukasz3332x remember that at 200% I reduce each scope magnification. Some you might not need to do, you might find that really zoomed in might feel too slow because USA no longer tries to keep each scope sensitivity feeling the same. You are now effectively doing that yourself by adjusting each zoom magnification

      To me it is a bit strange changing it up 2+ years into the game. I'm just relieved that it isn't as bad as I feared. Have you any option to point a dot on your monitor if you use one?
