Sometimes tying a friend's shoelace and offering her a sweet ( I'm English, this means candy for Americans who don't know) is all that's needed, not words. Great lead actors, nice film. 👍

He wasn't just ''out of line'', he was preying on young succeptible girls and abusing his power. He was a creep and a predator. There's nothing ''lol'' about it.
Wonderfully written, directed, filmed and of course acted - it was difficult to watch this and remember this was a film, an artistic conceit and not a true-life documentary -- although I harbor no doubts that the actions depicted here do indeed play out every day, every where to real people and result in awful consequences for them.
The combination between the filthy teacher and her best friend was challenging to implement! And yes, best friends could ease all the pain in each other's life! Thank you for your messages! ^^

@@t1910j It has absolutely nothing to do with being “woke”. It’s something people who’ve been S.A.d do for others who’ve endured it, especially those of us with severe c-PTSD. We’re always grateful when we’re given a heads up instead of being proverbially slapped in the face with it. My comment is not political at all.

You know there are many other movie-making studios in the world, right? It's not just hollywood or disney... Plus, it's not like this is the first film about older creep preying on teenagers and abusing his power, come on. It's good but not unique in this regard (as you're making it out to be)
A tragic story that happens far too often these days, I'm afraid. At least the girls have their friendship to rely on. That is a lot. Eris Baker is such a wonderful young actress. I loved her so much in "This is Us".
😢 sad but very good acting and writing, very relatable, unfortunately something most young women are familiar with ( either because of themselves or someone they know).
Teachers in the 1950s had full parental authority over their pupils, even to the point of corporal punishment. I don’t know the statistics but I believe sexual abuse was more prevalent before secondary school. Why ? is obvious Sexual abuse is often not reported, and there is a lack of comprehensive data on instances of teacher sexual abuse toward students. Even now, approximately one in 10 children have experienced some form of sexual misconduct from an educator
To anyone watching -- if you see something SAY SOMETHING to someone in charge, please. It can save lives and stop abuses of power.
@@therealJamieJoy Yes! Too much of this goes unreported, especially when it’s done by someone in a position of power over the victim.
huh lol
The sad part is the "person in charge" is the dang perpetrator. Ugh.

Two strong leads, a tight, thoughtful script well-directed, and solid production top to bottom. Kudos!
This was a good film. I would have liked to see the fallout from him being exposed.

You did everything in such a short form!! Wonderful storytelling and acting. The editing was perfect.
Agreed! I also appreciated the thoughtful camera work in unison with appropriately calculated scene lengths.

I knew exactly what book she was talking about without naming the title from Keisha's description.
