Agree that this bag is not too user friendly. But I really like it, and had been using it quite often after my purchase recently. In terms of capacity, it holds more than my mini rectangle. As to the beautiful but annoying key bells, I wrap a couple more rounds over the handle and have them facing the back so as to avoid getting in the way of the opening.

You don't have to use both zip pulls. If you leave 1 zip pull half way down the side of the bag or two thirds way down and just use the other zip pull to open and close the bag. The GG marmont matelasse leather shoulder bag also comes close to design, it is much more functional, removable adjustable straps, front pocket, light coloured very roomy interior and soft yet durable leather.
