Pw went from 110 yards to 140 and its right through all my irons. 6 iron went from 160 carry to 190 😂 it’s amazing and thank you for your videos 🙏🏻

    At last....I have never seen any other "TH-cam" Golf Guru mention this. This is real old school knowledge. Hi Jim. Back playing for 2 years after a 20 year lay off and now back off 7 hc. During the last two years I have tried just about all the mainstream techniques and can honestly say that for me yours works the best. I get plenty of distance and a nice draw with all clubs if I stay in that slot. The other swings offer me no more distance and inconsistent strikes. Glad I found you, more people should.

    Soooo, I’ve only recently discovered Jim and his swing and just played a tournament and won in a very tough match (final round tmrrw).
    I only incorporated the “stay on left side” move for now and not the closed pivot at setup because I didn’t want to start experimenting during a tournament but haven’t hit the ball this well and this confidently in years. Straight and very crisp irons.
    Also have not tried it with my driver as of yet.
    I’m a believer.

    Some shots were still going a bit right but overall i have high expectations for this method and i’m going out again tomorrow. Give it a shot if your consistency is all over the chart like mine :)

    Jim I've been don't some testing on my launch monitor and this week I've choked down on the club about 1 1/4" and have absolutely pured everything... haven't lost any distance at all...9 iron went from 143avg carry to 149, 7 iron 179 to 176, 5 iron 191 to 203... now I'm only 5'6 so I assume it's the shorter club is allowing me to swing more freely and with more compression at impact which is picking up my ball speed

    With a little more shaft lean, towards target, I will be using the true loft. Result should be more distance. Now I will have to update my yardage card! Hcp has gone from 12 to 9.5, using stillness in my swing. For hybrids and woods, should there be shaft lean too. Seems like the face would be slightly open.

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James Hanson the set up position I teach puts forward shaft lean on every club. Your woods are played in the front of the stance so the angle of the shaft is relative to your ball position. Don’t try to push your hands forward, just apply the set up position as I teach it and the result will put the club in a correct position.

    I tried this swing out a year ago for one day and gave it up. Another year wasted after that. I went out the last two days and tried this again. Today I hit some of the best shots I have all year. It took me a minute to get the pivot right, but after that amazing. To get it right for me I put my feet together and grip the club out in front of me. Then move to the ball and spread me feet apart. To get the pivot right I just leaned strait left imagining the Eiffel Tower then opened my right foot slightly. My club face looked slightly open. Then I just swung trying to keep my body from moving , but letting it open after contact. Question- my left knee still lowers strait down slightly in the back swing, but I was still producing amazing shots. Advice how to fix that? I loved listening to you a year ago and am glad I found my way back!!

    I like what you say, but as a woman with low CHS I am told that shaft lean will prevent iron shots from getting enough height for maximum carry. What is your advice here? By low CHS I mean low 60 MPH on a 6 iron. Might get to 65 on a good one. Thank you

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andree Burtt believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. Regardless of clubhead speed, you want forward shaft lean because that is the clubs true dynamic nature. For eg. when I hit a 1/2 sw my clubhead speed is about 60 mph and the resulting shot is ideal.

If anyone wants to laugh about or say this method doesn’t work or skeptical about power like I was don’t be. @georgesmith4639 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah and the pro's are able to hit down at that angle and not hurt themselves because they are playing mostly on manicured courses with fairways that allow them to take divots the size of a man's forearm. You hit down like that on the courses most weekend hacks can afford to play (especially in the south) and you wont be playing golf for very long.

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      George Smith negative, it’s about swing path. If your swing path is shallow, your divot will descend, be shallow and you’ll never have an issue even if you your lie is on concrete. Remember, euro pros play on much firmer courses than in the southern u.s. If your swing path is steep, then regardless of your lie or turf conditions, you’ll always struggle with your game and probably hurt yourself.

    bullshit, pros have a lot higher swing speed than us amateurs. My hardest swing with a driver is 100mph for a carry of 240 which is what I get, Pros swing the driver 120mph and hit it 290yds

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      brian menendez first, please don’t swear, second, if you only hit it 240 with 100 mph of chs your spin rate is way too high which is a product of poor swing path and third, pros hit it much farther than 290 w 120 mph of chs. I think you’d benefit from some proper instruction but please don’t sign up for my school, your attitude is not welcome here.

    • @altaylor59
      @altaylor59 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's because you are not there yet with using it! In position, do no 'hit' the ball - use the 'lag' of the club to create speed whilst staying still; tremendous power will be there without you 'applying power', something you've probably been doing all your golfing career! If you don't know how this feels; get a 'hinged' club; apply the same 'feel' with real club, in closed position - hey presto! Power, speed, distance - effortlessly.

    • @jimvenetosgolf
