IN CONTEXT MAY I MENTION THAT RABINDRA NATH TAGORE COMPOSED A SONG - IN HIS TAPPA STYLE, HITHERTO UN-THOUGHT OF - A BENGALI SONG: "BAAJE KARUNA SURE, HAAI DOORE CHARANA-TALA-CHUMBITA PANTHA-VEENAA" IN SIMHENDRAMADHYAMAM, DURING 1931 AT 69. A FAVORITE DISCIPLE OF HIS, SAAVITREE GOVINDA, HAD SANG FOR HIM AN IMMORTAL COMPOSITION: "NITU CHARANAMOOLE". ALSO, UDAY SHANKAR IN 1936/37 HAD A COMPOSITION IN THE SAME RAGA DURING HIS WORLD TOUR.

My favourite of Simhendramadhyamam - Aanandha Raagam by the Maestro. The emotions it brings to a listener are too much to handle! Charulatha Madam, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, STILL, is working for 5 movies (including 1 Marathi movie, in the pipeline) this year 2018 (37 years later, after Panneer Pushpangal was released)!! He is by no means an yesteryear composer.

Nemali Kanti Rajani Kanth Kanth.... Yes... Bcz thyagayya muthuswami diksithar and shama shastrigal hav most of their songs in telugu... But even more carnatic based songs are there in tamil... Only new generation musicians can enable it.... 🙏🙏🙏
Nemali Kanti Rajani Kanth Kanth - simple. The Trinities of Carnatic music lived in the banks of Cauveri in Tanjavur district. Further encouraged by the Chola kings specifically by the great King Raja Raja followed by the King of Travancore and Raja Saraboji. Further most of the historic Temples added advantage for the Vagya Karthas to pen their immortal Gems.
Sir, my kind submission. When a beginner /learner goes for other than his mother tongue. Put some extra more interest. Devotion and hard work is very very necessary and sufficient.
Raga simhadrimadhyamam, or sankeertanam, & Tamil language with long samasas does not go hand in hand. Technically perfect but not entirely liked by telugu people. Some annamayya compositions by keervani appear melodious. Simhadrimadhyamam is a very melodious Raga, which in my view only meant for Sanskrit pure. The interlinking GA makas are difficult to prunounce. But charulata u sang well. At some points I remembered late. Dr. M. Bala murali. U are a fighter like him. Once u make up ur mind no one dare stop u, to practice, prefect it & above all present it. Simhadrimadhyamam is a rare Raga in my view. Kudos. I wish I were ur son running behind u catching ur saree pallu, and learning Raga simhadrimadhyamam. Rao, Gunter.
