      @@ik4949 I'm not catholic, but to have a spiritual father in Christ is very Biblical.
      Paul said he became a father in Christ to the Corinthians. It is a person should find one that can guide him in Christ and be a spiritual father to him, not call every priest father or we would be calling every Christian father, because we all have a priest hood in Christ our Lord and
      high priest.

      @@ik4949 it's just a title. Do you have a father and mother? Is it wrong for you to say: yes, I do have a father and mother. No, it's not wrong to say that. Is it wrong for your father to say: yes, I am Indre's father. No, it's not wrong for him to say that. Of course, he is not saying that he is your God. He is just saying that he is your male parent. In late old English, father meant somebody that exercised parental care. This whole teaching was about conscience, and intention is a primary factor. If you trip on your shoelace, and strike another person as you fall, that is not the same as striking somebody intentionally. Nobody is intentionally trying to make you think Fr Spyridon is God with the term father. Also, there is the term as it was used in the original tablets, whatever that was. It wasn't English, but it was translated as father. Anyway, shouldn't we worry about the beam in our own eye before picking at the splinters in others? Fr Spyridon is making an effort to save you, and your fussing about a silly label/title. Do you really think that God is so petty that heaven and hell are decided by a label, a title, a term that implies somebody that cares about you?

    I want to confess that I was abused in a church when I was a child by a Pastor, it scared me so far away from God and the church, I was genuinely crushed. I grew up singing with my mother in church and I loved it so much, I felt so betrayed. It’s taken me years, but lately I’ve felt God cracking at my shell, I’ve had such a grudge against the Faith and God. Your words have touched me so deeply in a way I cannot express, I thank God for leading me to better understanding. I feel foolish for ever blaming God for the actions of people, I can only ask for His forgiveness. I let my anger control me and block me from His grace and wisdom. I was wronged but it didn’t give me the right to pass my hurt onto God or others. I shouldn’t have let it rob me of my relationship with God. God did not wrong me and I had no right to blame Him.
    I was raised Pentecostal, I have never heard this type of teaching, its beautiful and gentle.

      I have a similar story, and it is very hard to take that step out of anger. After a while we become complacent and comfortable with our anger, because that is all we have come to know. I am still dealing with this especially with the stage of life I am in. The important part is repenting and knowing what is right, knowing comes first and living comes next. I commend you on taking these steps I know how impossible it can be. I pray that you find some peace in the resignation that we must commit to.

      @@KallyKafritsas you missed the point. A child born had a mother and father. This verse simply uses the term father to explain that a lost child needs a 'spirtual father' to be helped. Spiritual Fathers such as Fr Spyridon have provided many people help with his videos. Ofcourse, there is only One Father. Christ speaks in Parables also to explain things. Freemasonry is definitely an issue and the One True Church is against it. Unfortunately and ironically, there are some who are Orthodox and also conducting sin by also partaking in Freemasonry. God sees this ofcourse and a reminder that all will be judged. Before the Gospels were even written, the Holy Fathers passed down information through generations.

      @DimitriZaros ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KallyKafritsas Don't think Carnally. For you to call me a Freemason is an insult to the One True Church I belong in. Also, the Holy Fathers have suffered Persecution and Martyrdom because they have rejected this world and chosen Christ. Look how all the Disciples of Christ died. If you, for 1 second, assume that there are no Holy Fathers, then you deny history took place and you insult Christ, and all the martyrdom that's ever taken place (Look at the history of Russia, and Greece, Serbia, and every Holy Place that's ever existed). Christ is the body of the Church and after he was crucified, he ascended into Heaven and now, he mediates for us to the Father and sends down the Holy Spirit. This is explained in Acts. Who do you assume was sitting there when this happened?

    I believe that a point comes in one’s life in which one can’t bear sinfulness any longer, so that one cries out to God for deliverance. Then, the miraculous happens: sin immediately loses its supposed “flavor,” temptations grow weaker, and the resolve to sin no more grows ever stronger. We will never be perfect, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have to try to be perfect: if you have the ability to invent the greatest thing ever, why NOT do it for the glory of God?

I been finding out when I help people it's seems pointless ... that they won't listen to me...many cry and etc.. but refuse to follow christ... and I am hated.....I see people falling away from me.. they hate to hear the truth...

    • @laceygreenwood
      @laceygreenwood ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KallyKafritsas Thanks for your input. However, you should realise that
      In Orthodoxy, a priest is called "Father" because he has been intrusted with the spiritual leadership of a Church and the oversight of those under his care. It is a term of respect & love because they are our spiritual leaders, not because they actually are replacing God. Like the Apostles, Church Fathers and those ordained by them were leaders at the beginning of Christianity after Chrsit arose from the dead and gave them authority to ordeain leaders, so the Priests today follow in their footsteps. They are ordained by the Church, and it's not a willy nilly ritual. They are spiritual fathers to their flocks and to newcomers. There is nothing wrong with addressing them with that loving term. --All the best.

    Thank you so much Father. I am a very devout Catholic now. Due to the heavy rains here in California I didn’t go to holy Latin Mass Sunday. But then later the sun came out but I still didn’t go due to my own fears of crowds. Monday my conscience accused me that I could have gone, I prayed and realized that yes I could have gone and seemed to have the courage that next time this happens I will know what to do. Again despite my fears of crowds, I dropped everything for Sunday attendance is a commandment from God and I feared I was in a state of mortal sin and so as you said and as I’ve done many times, I flew to holy Confession and confessed and I weep weep weep that God has given me this light to pray, always pray for I am evil on my own but with prayer I always find instantly a response in my heart and the courage. God bless to everyone, we must suffer lovingly to help save each other.
