The number overload at the end were quite amusing. I’ll have to go back and look at mine.

To be fair, the worldbuilding in terms of "a Solar system wide economy" and Belters is in no way original to The Expanse universe. You can trace many of the elements that make The Expanse so popular back to Alfred Bester's The Stars My Destination and C.J. Cherryh books. I sometimes even think that Dan Simmons' Hyperion had some influence on The Expanse (the gates, Meina Gladstone as proto Avasarala, human evolution).

CJ Cherryh is a great call! OG space trade empires for sure, but had never made the connection to the Expanse before.

I wasn't as hot on the Expanse as a lot of other people. I'd give the series as a whole probably a 6 or maybe a 7. A lot of cool ideas, plot points, and characters, but I did feel like it dragged a lot. There were some exciting moments, but they were far too sparse for me. Plus, there were many, many questions I had that never got answered so that was annoying

I love how seriously they take gravity. Other science will bend to the plot when necessary, but not gravity.
