In 1960 i Was 8 years old and My uncle took to a gm car show, i saw the chevy corvair, and just Was in love with this car, never forget this car Even now it still brings back memories with My uncle who loved cars he had so many gourgeus cars, 😊😊😊😊
When driven to its limits - the pre - 64's, if tire pressures weren't strictly adhered to- there was a pressure differential from front to rear - the car COULD tuck a rear wheel under and get you in serious loss of control trouble. I had both a '62 and a '63 and as a teenager, was lucky never to experience that.
Boy, does this car take me back! My Dad wanted to test drive this model when new and back then he kept it for the weekend. He left our 1956 Plymouth Belvedere at the dealers. Mom absolutely hated the car because they had 3 kids. That Saturday night, our car was stolen from the dealers lot and demolished. Dad bought the Corvair and Mom was pissed. AH!, The Memories!
Love that corvair. My grandfather bought one new in 62.We got it in68 and I drove it in High school. Love that thing.😊

I would like to add that Ralph Nader didn't know what he was talking about!

Just like in my '62 Spyder - the AM radio with the emergency stations marked. Unmentioned, is the high dust optional air cleaner assembly.
Has to many things that need to be repaired.
Cool car! ❤
64 added the camber control bar in the rear swing-axle..........
