I Love this scent. You know what it is? It’s like the smell mixture of different Make up and fragrances when you walk into the wardrobe of a star or a Dancer in an old theater or musical.

I was just reading something about the hazards of becoming a society that's on the lookout for the slightest of missteps, how bizarre that the same, almost word for word sentiment, should show up in a Lutens' press release 🤨. Perhaps the tamer is the true caged one, walled off by his/her own illusion of control and domination!! Another great one, thank you, Dariush. 🙏🙏🙏

Yes, good point - caged by the desire to tame 🤔
      Many thanks for watching.

It was Gloria Swanson who went into a lion's cage for a scene in a silent movie..... and she did go in there herself.....well the scene is scary enough for me to immediately remember it when I heard the name of the perfume. And lots of white powder were definitely involved. I doubt though that the scent has anything to do with the film.

You never know! Lutens loved enigmatic, obscure references.
      Thanks for watching.

Have you reviewed Bapteme Du Feu from uncle Serge? Would love to hear your thoughts on it...

You might be thinking of Datura Noir (almondy)

Your french is very good ! I don't think that a pun is hidden in this name. Even for french people this one is weard, hard to pronounce and very mysterious. Very Lutens-like :)

      That’s very kind, thank you.
I must say, I’m glad Lutens refuses to make his names bland and ‘easy’.

Your French pronunciation is perfect, why are you so self conscious about it. Don’t be!

      😊 Thank you.
I guess holidays in France make me quite self-conscious.
