Tip: place a rag in between chain and sprocket then rotate wheel in reverse to force the axle against hard stops before checking tension,/tightening axle bolt to 59ft-lbs. In several wheel angle posions, use caliper to measure/set tension 55mm -58mm (Spec: 2013 500 EXC) between top of swing arm and lowest surface of chain at plane of rear most vertical edge of chain slider.
This is not the proper way to align chain.. The swing arm needs to be level. Think about the maximum tension the chain will have on it. You need to drop the shock and lift the swing arm to set proper chain tension. ENSUSRE SWINGARM IS LEVEL when taking measurements. If not you will loosen chain to much and strip the gears or break yourself.

So many epic & beautiful areas to ride in Washington
Thanks for taking the time to show 👍
Don't forget to check the chain tension after you've torqued the axle nut.
thanks man. subscribed

I bet Husky will be the same.

No your comment is incorrect go read the manual. Bike on stand with swing arm freely hanging is correct.
