The fact that Conan has some of the same people working for him 30 years later, is a testament to how nice he actually is. In a time of tv host creating toxic workplaces Conan is clearly the opposite of toxic👏
Not sure if Conan realizes how big of an impact his farewell speech had from Late Night, “Please do not be cynical. I hate cynicism - it's my least favorite quality, and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen.”
His final tonight show speech actually borrowed heavily from his first show post-9/11 when he addressed the audience. Still a good speech, but it does borrow heavily.
I think about that speech sometimes. Conan has influenced my sense of humor more than any other person, and he's been the one constant in my life for the past 22 years. I really admire him for his humbleness, kindness, and insight. Yet if theres one word I would use to describe myself, it's cynical. I've just spent so long getting beaten and brutalized by the system, by people, by life. I watch good people get victimized and stepped on while others get ahead by lying, cheating, and taking advantage of others. I do what I think is right because I can't live with myself if I don't, but it's never gotten me anything other than being told "you're so kind" when I express this disillusionment. When I do get hopeful about something, it isn't long before something or someone destroys those hopes. That happens enough times, and it gets really hard to be hopeful. All this seems to happen with the predictability of bowel distress after a trip to KFC. Conan talks about being blessed. I'm glad he is, but I think some of us are just damned.
Conan still acts like the new guy and calls himself ”the guy who replaced letterman”. The thing is though that he is the letterman of our generation. He should be and is considered one of if not the best of all time.
Johnny....Dave....Conan. Got to see all 3, and even Conan would pick Dave. For me, they're 3 entirely different styles, but all gold. If pressed, I'm taking Conan Letterman.
Used to watch Conan at 2 am in Houston with my brother. Some of my best memories are just laughing at everything he did while my brother and I tried not to wake up the rest of the house. Then when Conan did the bit about Houston showing the show so late, in Houston, it felt like it was a bit especially for us. Just the best
I remember it being on that late too. Great entertainment for someone in their early 20's after you come home from the bar. Crazy that KPRC would rather show Win Lose or Draw & Divorce Court reruns after Carson.

I started watching Conan in the summer of 98/99 when I was still in high school and I absolutely loved the comedy back then. Thinking back about this time makes me happy. I was too young to get the full experience of Conan getting his start in 1993 but the stories him and his producers told on the podcast are so interesting. I wouldn't mind watching a docu capturing the media frenzy and sentiment back them.
You, Andy, and your team has brought me cheer in a lot of dark times and I appreciate you gave the podcasting gig a chance so we can have endless content from you Conan and the CoCo team! ❤

The best of the best! I'd love to hear more about the tour after the Tonight Show debacle. I was lucky enough to see him live in San Francisco during that tour and it was easily one of the best live performances I've ever experienced. So much fun.
I started watching Conan in the spring of 2002 and never looked back. Conan and Jon Stewart saw me through a really trying and challenging decade, keeping s smile on my face when things were going sideways for everyone.
I remember my first introduction to Conan being his last few episodes of the Tonight Show when I was 9 years old. I thought he was the funniest person ever and made sure to watch the first episode of his TBS show when he came back.
You were my first late night experience, in the summer of 1994. I was 13. You informed my sense of comedy, just by seeing what you did. I'm still in awe.
42 here 😂. Conan is so underrated. His team really were ahead or their time, with memes, voice overs. Chappelle and Tracy Morgan were my favorite guest because Conan would set up their jokes.
I'm 26 years old, I remember watching you do Late Night some time in the mid 2000s, the most significant thing I remember was the celebrity impressions with the still faces but the lips would move. There were some tough times growing up as we didn't have alot of money but we could get network TV from our antenna. Leno was boring to me but Conan you always made things funny in a way that I still haven't been able to find elsewhere. I'm rambling now but I guess what I want to say is thank you. You mean so much to so many people across the world.
Thanks Conan for the countless nights with countless laughs and being a distant “friend” for me when I had just moved to a cold and rainy Seattle from a foreign country. You actually helped me learn English. Lol You are flat out the best, funnier, sharper, brighter, nicer, most talented, most articulate, most educated talk show host in history and you’re an amazing human being/father/husband/friend. You do make our lives better. It has been an honor watching you for decades. Now, get a new show going, stop your “vacation” (lol) and entertain the masses again. Make this nation smart again.
When you remember how badly Jay Leno screwed him over, his career is proof that he's actually probably a genuinely good person. Most people would have fallen to bitterness, and Conan just went about building his own brand while keeping kindness and respect in his heart.
I was 13 when Conan started and watched the show on Friday and all summer. I remember during some scenes thinking “I gotta see this again”. This was before TiVo and TH-cam. Now I’m happy to see quite a few of these clips on TH-cam.
Congratulations Conan🎉. You and Dave are my two favourite late night hosts, and I am so glad that you have reached this milestone. Through all these years, you have provided me with so much laughter and joy, and I thank you for that.
Love you Coco! Been a fan since I was just a little kid with a sleeping disorder! I just turned 40, and you’ve been a huge influence on me for most of it, thank you and your friends and staff, and Jeff Goldblum, for so many great years! ❤🎉🍻
The first time i seen Conan was aftery parents divorced. I was maybe 9 or 10. Losing tons of sleep..he got me thru some sad times late at nite. Just me and him....Conan was always my favorite. All these years later still feel the same
I’ve just started watching the podcasts, but I’ve been a massive Conan fan for 30 years. The sincerity in the first few minutes of this is beautiful. Watching all these clowns stripped down and being humble is food for my soul.
Well, I suppose, that's what I like about Conan and his crew. He doesn't look at his old (and new) colleagues as mere colleagues from work; a lot of these acquaintances became long lasting friendships - and he values them like family. In that light, even though he was a writer on The Simpsons, Conan is - by all means - a true family guy. Keep up the good work guys, you're always pulling it off to make someone laugh (judging from my very own experience), even after a rough, messed up day. And that is just pure gold, ... which merits a Team-Coco colored heart: 🧡, 🙏
I have no doubt that Conan would have found his way to us, somehow. The man works so hard. It may not have been "Late Night" but it would have been something mainstream for sure.
Congratulations on 30th anniversary! 🥳🎉🎉🎉I started watching his show in 2012 on tbs. I'm happy I could watch his late night clips online. He is the only talk show I've ever watch.
It has been an honor and a privilege to experience these 30 years of your genius. Conan, Lorne believed in you and gave you the chance of a lifetime that will never be duplicated. Being the trailblazer of all trailblazers is what legends are made of. Here's to the next 30 years! Congratulations!
Conan had some big shoes to fill. I think many people assumed the transition from the iconic "Late Night with David Letterman" to "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" would be a trainwreck. I recently watched Don Giller's compilation of all the times Conan and Dave appeared on each other's shows, and it's a joy to watch. With all the ugliness of... well, Jay Leno, on multiple levels, it was cathartic to see these two legends lift each other up instead of tearing each other down. And when Conan himself got "Lenoed" in 2009-2010? The whole drama that played out before our eyes, culminating in his appearances on "The Late Show", gave new meaning to the phrase "must-see TV".
I didn't know you in 1993, but I was a freshman at CSUN and saw a man having fun on TV after 12:30am with another man. Don't take that weird. Simply put, you got me through a lot of long nights on several projects, and so I thank you for desk surfing, Triumph and dozens of other bits. Thank you Conan for 30 years of silliness and fun.
Conan truly is the best to ever do it in my opinion, and fundamentally influenced my life with his comedy. I'm so happy about it and I hope he realizes how many people deeply appreciate him for his comedy as well as his character..
A friend of mine came over when Conan first hit the air and said I had to turn the tv on there was this "weird guy" who was also really funny on late night. Subsequently, we spent a lot of time watching Conan and laughing at all the insanity. Glad to see he's still going and is as funny as ever.
I remember the first time I saw your show I thought, "Wow, someone with my sense of humor finally has a late night talk show!" I've been a fan since 1993 and I love this podcast! Thank you for all the laughs and the smiles. :)
I remember the first time I saw Conan, when David Letterman introduced him as the new host of late night. As soon as he walked out my friends and I all thought, oh, no, there's no way this guy will last, but in about five minutes he had us all laughing so hard we wanted to see him succeed. Thank goodness he did.
Congrats, Conan and all of your wonderful crew. I started watching your show in the nineties after my mother ( like Gourley) told me about it. She's gone now, but she'd always laugh and say "that Co Nan he's so funny." It brings back fond memories of her and your great show. Now, I'm loving the podcasts.
Conan brought an energy that I never new I needed. I've been a long time fan. Have had the tremendous fortune to see him live twice. He is the most genuinely funny person. Happy anniversary, Conan! You are amazing!!
Conan is truly the best! He shaped how many of us learned humor. What's amazing is that the changes he's gone through have defined the core of "funny".
Conan's cousin was my social studies teacher when I was a senior in high school. Her parting advice to us was to watch him when we started college in the fall. So that fateful evening on Sept. 13, 1993, I turned on the TV at 12:30 am to watch Conan's debut and I was instantly hooked by his unusual brand of comedy.
I remember staying up late and putting the subtitles on (so that my mom thought I was asleep and putting a towel underneath the door to block light) just so I could stay up late and watch Conan. Just an amazing, fun, and hilarious talk show.

I'm almost 43. Ya old, boi. :p
Masturbating Bear, FedEx Pope, et al.
Was FedEx Pope a paid promotion from FedEx?
Lol
You are flat out the best, funnier, sharper, brighter, nicer, most talented, most articulate, most educated talk show host in history and you’re an amazing human being/father/husband/friend.
Conan = LITERALLY the only reason to be awake after 11pm from 1995 to now. LITERALLY
Congrats Conan! You deserve all the flowers in the world!
We love you Conan ! Thank you for the wonderful 30 years of comedy gold❤
Have always adored the show. Always had the best bands, sketches, and remotes!
Through Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, and his late night show, Conan has been a huge influence on my life for the past 35 years, and counting.
All these years later still feel the same
❤❤❤
I’ve just started watching the podcasts, but I’ve been a massive Conan fan for 30 years. The sincerity in the first few minutes of this is beautiful. Watching all these clowns stripped down and being humble is food for my soul.
I love Conan!! Happy 30 Year Anniversary!! A living legend and one of the best interviewers and comic writers of all time.
It's great to see that Conan's fan base is so young, they don't know when he's joking about how old he is.
I love Letterman and Carson, Conan is their equal and a faster wit without writers!
I remember when he was on cnbc and absolutely killing it with his quick wit and completely bizarre different comedy...
GOAT
Conan changed late night forever and is the best one ever
I didn't know you in 1993, but I was a freshman at CSUN and saw a man having fun on TV after 12:30am with another man. Don't take that weird. Simply put, you got me through a lot of long nights on several projects, and so I thank you for desk surfing, Triumph and dozens of other bits. Thank you Conan for 30 years of silliness and fun.
Thank you so much Conan and the whole team for all the joy you've brought to my life ❤
Conan truly is the best to ever do it in my opinion, and fundamentally influenced my life with his comedy.
I don’t think I will ever stop having a crush on this man. Conan is the GOAT 🧡🥰
Literally never heard or felt anything bad about Conan. He's like my dad dude!!
I love Conan. I'd offer my soul to keep him immortal.
Conan brought an energy that I never new I needed. I've been a long time fan. Have had the tremendous fortune to see him live twice. He is the most genuinely funny person. Happy anniversary, Conan! You are amazing!!
Robert Smigel & Triumph, Andrés du Bouchet, Brian Stack, Jordan Schlansky, and Conan are a dream team.
Conan is 60. 60!!!!
The episode with an all kids audience is still the best.
Like his writing for The Simpsons, on some level it all works because he’s a nice guy and it comes through.
Happy 30th! IT doesnt seem like 30 . You've helped more people than you know through your comedy. Thank you.
I remember staying up late and putting the subtitles on (so that my mom thought I was asleep and putting a towel underneath the door to block light) just so I could stay up late and watch Conan. Just an amazing, fun, and hilarious talk show.
Hello again , this is Larry. Some thing about Conan! Really love Conan, he’s got something about him that is warm, friendly, and lightens the load of every day life when I watch him, he is gifted, and I’m so glad that I found his podcast! Come on Conan. We’re all welcoming you back! Missed you And take heart in knowing there are many many many people who love you man!
I was too young when Conan first came out but I began watching the show in the late 90s and watched until the end. Love the podcast and really looking forward to seeing Conan make more stuff. Forever a fan!
The first time I peed myself laughing was the Kerri Strug/Bela Karolyi bit during the summer of '96 during the Olympics. Thanks Conan, Robert Smigel, Andy, and everyone else who got the ball rolling.
Congrats, Conan!
30 years already and I still can see a very bright future in front of you.
Very bright, but don't go into the light yet, Conan, not yet!
You and all of your much talented staff through all these years are one more reason not to become a complete misanthrope. I liked you since the early 90's, even though at that time my english wasn't ready yet to catch all of your borderline madness, and to this day I try not to miss one bit/podcast/whatever you fabricate.
Thanks for all the joy, all the good times and especially for that fake Italian, Mr. Jordan Schlanski.
Much love and peace from Germany 🤘
I was a kid when his show was on tv but it was the ONLY late night show I've ever watched on a regular basis. Weirdly took a while to realize he had a podcast but glad I found it. Grats on 30 years, Conan.
Gen Xer here. Conan, I was raised on Letterman. But you are more likable than ever. Over these last 30 years. You are the king, my friend.
Carson, Letterman, and Conan. The legitimate heirs to the Tonight Show. Also in the words of Letterman, “Don’t Blame Conan”
Loved Conan 30 years ago. Still love him today...An actual funny Irishman😮
"No no no, we need you to keep going, I have a house to pay off" - I love this woman!
Congratulations Conan! ❤ thank you for your entertainment. I really pray we never hear anything negative about your show or the workplace, you’re the only talk show host I truly love 😊
Thank you for bringing joy to us lowly regular folks Conan! 30 years of intelligent entertainment :-)
