I tried this out before and there indeed is a glass pane summoned by commands, but since your severer doesn’t allow command blocks or just because there are two players it won’t appear

at the first room, you could just smelt the iron with the light sensor and break the droppers with it and block up with them so thats way simpler

35:04 it is not 9 factorial, but good guess. it's actually multiplying the number of possibilities in each slot all together, so it would be 2 to the power of 9, also known as 512 possibilities. still far too many to brute force, mind you

the first escape room is meant by putting the lectern as fuel making a pickaxe minning the droppers and pillaring up 7:31

At the start after he found the furnace he could have used the lectern to smelt iron and make a pick to mine all the droppers (pretty sure lecterns can smelt)

EASY! At the start, just smelt the iron and use the daylight sensor or other fuel and make pickaxe, then get all the hoppers. Boom!
