Like the good ol' days 😌💓 Edit: idk why yall are reading so much into my comment, I just remember playing in puddles and dirt as a kid. I don't have many good memories from growing up, most of my memories are scary or sad if you want to know. I'm also 30 if that matters
@woefulmelancholy 32 here. The saddest part about the current situation, is it's not exactly the kids fault. Kids by nature are explorers. Is their parents that skirt responsibility, and we're too afraid to say "no" when it came to technology.
There are still plenty of parents raising good whole kids. Sadly there's equally if not more that are just giving them phones, computers and games.
I have a similar comment, and although many agree, some of the comments I have is crazy, people manage to bring negativity to the most normal and positive things
@@nellanellaperched6767 You summarized it pretty well. But I also think, if I had technology earlier as a child, I would just end up learning so much more. But that's the way I was with my interests, everyone's different, and it's important for parents to see what their children gravitate towards and support it at all cost. If you help them find their passion, you'll never need to worry about them spending their time in vain.

I tried taking my little niece out to go on a hike and go bowling after and her moms reaction baffled me all she had to say was "she's safer inside on her tablet where no bugs are around and no nasty dirt" and I was SHOCKED because we used to play in the NASTIEST creeks when we were children and had the absolute BEST days ever there or when we used to take "mud baths" in our bathing suits after it rained in the biggest puddles we could find like people have really disconnected from mother earth and in a really bad way. If us humans arnt gonna take care of them who is?..
And he did it all whilst running in CROCS! Much respect to that guy!! We salute you sir 🫡

I see comments like this a lot but honestly your shoes really shouldn't raise or lower the difficulty of running. Like I've run in sandals, high top sneakers, and boots, the only difference is the boots were a little heavy

Love this! Reminds me of my childhood when every kid spent the majority of their time outside during summer vacation. We weren’t glued to a phone or device. We were out getting sun(which is why vitamin D deficiency was not a thing when I was growing up), and getting exercise. We used our imagination and had to resourceful and creative with our games. Miss those days!

Now would you like a citation or lawsuit with that? Believe it or not, a lot of people ruined things for future generations. You cant help someone in need of medical attention without there being the fear that you might get sued later. Nowadays, you cant even be outside making noise without there being a neighbor who will call the cops and report a nuissance. These days, you must watch closely what you say and do, because everything you say and do is being judged by others. Why else would people enjoy sticking in their own little bubble?

@@elitetilinguk3757 yes Boddelwydden. Dad was in the British army then. We moved from Dortmund in Germany to wales 🏴 to continue dad’s service in the army. I have been in love with north Wales ever since. Though I don’t live there now. But not too far to go from the north of England. I went to school over the road from the marble church. The school was built from the same stone as the church. And I hated my teacher Mr Loydd. He walked around us holding a large plimsoll and smacking it in his hand as he walked around the room. How the hell I survived him I don’t know.
Both are getting a solid workout. God bless the children.
This evening, we had an after wedding rehearsal dinner at my sons future in-laws. 106° in the backyard. 6 or 7 of their young grandchildren played on a trampoline with a running garden hose. They were giggling and having fun. I made the comment, "They'll never forget these days of summer." I'm 65 yo, and I'll never forget. Unless the Lord has other plans for me. Even so, His will be done. Amen

Idk. You can play on your gadgets and enjoy going outside and playing in nature 🤷♀️ that's what we did in the 90s, I don't see why it'd be any different now. Kids love outdoors, you couldn't keep my kid inside if you tried and she's been that way since she could walk. You might get the occasional kid who likes inside better but that's nothing new. Pretty sure every gen had those kids.

We used to do this with a car in the irrigation canals in Northern CA during the early 70's. We had runs of several hundred yards. it was long before they fenced everything.
We used to do this through the snow with cars and a sled when we first got our liscenses in the neighborhood.
Nobody said boo back then.
Realized it probably wasn't a good idea after going around corners behind a caprice station wagon then getting slingshot out into the other lane into oncoming traffic or a mailbox.

Reminds me of when I was a kid in the 60’s and 70’s. We played outside all day till the sun went down. Makes me happy seeing these youngsters playing outside and not on phones all day or video games. Life was so carefree back then. 👍👏😊
